Meraki Insight will now have alerts configurable for WAN and VoIP by navigating to the Insight → Configure → Alerts tab

 

The alerts management landing page will give a quick overview of alerts being managed and the status of each alert.

The Meraki Vision Portal, in beta, is a new interface designed for MV video users. It is for video-related activities, like watching live or historical footage, searching, and exporting video. To access the Vision Portal, navigate to Cameras > Monitor > Vision Portal.

There is a new image quality option for MV32: 2058x2058 resolution at 1Mbps bitrate and 8fps. This new 2058x2058 option could provides organizations with a higher level of detail (due to increased pixel count), while still maximizing retention due to the lower bitrate. This option will also be compatible with Cloud Archive. For more information on image quality on MV32, please see the Image Quality on the MV32 article in documentation.

We recently announced an all new product offering - Meraki MT sensors. There are three models of MT sensors:

 

  • MT10 temperature and humidity sensor
  • MT12 water leak detection sensor
  • MT20 open/close (intrusion) sensor

Sensors use existing MR and MV devices as gateways to connect to the Meraki dashboard, and provide real-time visibility into critical IT environments.

MV cameras now support role-based camera permissions for SAML/SSO. This allows organizations to better scale operations by managing individual permissions in one place, outside of the dashboard.

Low-latency HLS (LHLS) is now available for second generation MV smart cameras. LHLS reduces the delay in live streaming caused by the buffering period with HLS. Using LHLS, the LAN direct stream has a delay of less than 2 seconds.

Monitoring business-critical web applications just became even easier with Meraki. Simply select the application(s) you want to track and toggle on Smart Thresholds. No thresholds need to be set at all – Smart Thresholds will use machine learning to automatically adjust thresholds for web applications based on the past behavioral patterns and performance for that application and the network it’s been running on.
