Two exciting new features now available on the Meraki dashboard for MT!

• Time delay alerting
• Custom time range for viewing data

New updates are designed to make it easier to identify underperforming access points, solve sticky client issues more quickly, and trigger alerts by implementing anomaly detection by using Meraki machine learning models. 

The Meraki Dashboard now provides the ability to schedule environmental alerts to only send during specific time periods and an updated alert profile menu makes it easier to customize alert conditions. 

Meraki Insight will now have alerts configurable for WAN and VoIP by navigating to the Insight → Configure → Alerts tab

The alerts management landing page will give a quick overview of alerts being managed and the status of each alert.

An update to the Meraki Mobile App is now available! This update includes a smattering of new features, ranging from MV Historical video to LLDP / CDP information of the upstream device on your Meraki hardware, as well as a wide assortment of bug fixes!

The Meraki Vision Portal, in beta, is a new interface designed for MV video users. It is for video-related activities, like watching live or historical footage, searching, and exporting video. To access the Vision Portal, navigate to Cameras > Monitor > Vision Portal.

Cross Organizational MAC search is live for all customers.  This functionality allows for customers to search across multiple organizations for a full MAC address.

The video access page now includes a section for external live stream users. For each user that was shared a live stream link, the list includes their email, name, description, link expiration and the cameras they were given access to.

Systems Manager admins can now remove multiple Trusted Access devices simultaneously from the Trusted Access device list.

"Custom Time range" in MI is now available on WAN, Web, and VoIP health making SD-WAN troubleshooting simple and granular.

There is a new image quality option for MV32: 2058x2058 resolution at 1Mbps bitrate and 8fps. This new 2058x2058 option could provides organizations with a higher level of detail (due to increased pixel count), while still maximizing retention due to the lower bitrate. This option will also be compatible with Cloud Archive. For more information on image quality on MV32, please see the Image Quality on the MV32 article in documentation.

We recently announced an all new product offering - Meraki MT sensors. There are three models of MT sensors:

• MT10 temperature and humidity sensor
• MT12 water leak detection sensor
• MT20 open/close (intrusion) sensor

Sensors use existing MR and MV devices as gateways to connect to the Meraki dashboard, and provide real-time visibility into critical IT environments.

Systems Manager now includes a variety of updates to support changes to management capabilities in iOS/iPadOS 14, Apple's latest major mobile operating system.

MV cameras now support role-based camera permissions for SAML/SSO. This allows organizations to better scale operations by managing individual permissions in one place, outside of the dashboard.

Once configured, this allows camera users to be able to log in the dashboard through the Meraki application within your identity provider. 

Low-latency HLS (LHLS) is now available for second generation MV smart cameras. LHLS reduces the delay in live streaming caused by the buffering period with HLS. Using LHLS, the LAN direct stream has a delay of less than 2 seconds. 

Allowed DNS events have been added to the Security Center.

VoIP health in Meraki Insight has now added the capability to monitor On-Prem VoIP servers along with Best Effort Monitoring (BEM) to provide VoIP stats for servers that are non-pingable.

Meraki recently released Version 1 (V1) of the Dashboard API, and with it, a new standard for versioning and endpoint releases that promotes consistency, efficiency, simplicity of use, and improves the developer experience. As part of the V1 release, we’re providing new frameworks, documentation, libraries, CI/CD, and tons of new operations with more to come. 

Auto-tags for Systems Manager devices based on their method of enrollment are now available in Dashboard. This awesome new feature allows you to scope your settings, profiles, and apps based on the type of enrollment used on a device.

Systems Manager admins can now change or remove device owners from Apple DEP-synced devices. This enables organizations to ensure device owner tag-scoped apps and profiles are associated to DEP-synced devices prior to enrollment.

View registered Trusted Access devices in a network all at once from the new Trusted Access Device List found under Systems Manager > Trusted Access

Network Objects can be enabled by navigating to Organization > Network Objects. After reviewing the informational page, please click on 'Start Beta' to begin.

Monitoring business-critical web applications just became even easier with Meraki. Simply select the application(s) you want to track and toggle on Smart Thresholds. No thresholds need to be set at all – Smart Thresholds will use machine learning to automatically adjust thresholds for web applications based on the past behavioral patterns and performance for that application and the network it’s been running on.
