Being able to monitor the health of your fiber optic transceivers in real time is critical for maintaining network reliability and efficient troubleshooting. If you haven't heard about this yet, we are excited to announce a new feature that provides enhanced visibility into the monitoring data of SFP(Small Form-factor Pluggable) fiber optic transceiver parameters such as optical power (input and output), temperature, current, and voltage directly on your switching port details tab. 

With this capability, you will be able to:

• Monitor and troubleshoot Meraki SFP optics in real-time
• Receive alerts on the dashboard when parameters exceed set thresholds
• View historical data for each DOM parameter, enabling you to troubleshoot issues more effectively and identify when network failures occurred

We are excited to share that the new Assurance Overview is now available to everyone via the Early Access page! Assurance Overview provides a unified assurance experience for you to understand the overall health of your network across the entire stack. You can easily monitor your network health and quickly troubleshoot problematic areas.

Enable the feature for your organization by going to Organization > Early Access and opt in to the ‘Assurance Overview’ feature.

We are excited to extend the features of the MAC Allow List and Sticky MAC Allow List to MS390 and Catalyst 9300-M switches. MAC Allow List and Sticky MAC Allow List are currently supported on Meraki Switches (MS). With this early access, users will be able to extend the configurations and settings to their Catalyst-based switches.

We are excited to share that the Org-level RADIUS Server Configuration feature is available to enable via public preview! This new feature supports Meraki Switching today and is designed to help you further streamline and reduce potential mistakes in configuring and updating local RADIUS servers. Navigate to Organization > Early Access page, and toggle “Opt-in" now. 

We are excited to announce that our new AP Neighbors feature will become publicly available for beta soon! AP Neighbors aims to provide enhanced visibility and insights to Meraki dashboard users on their access point environments.

Designed to greatly improve the management of access point RF interference, AP neighbors provides IT administrators with the tools necessary to maintain network performance and proactively address potential poor performance due to signal overlap from multiple APs.

We are excited to share that Named VLANs MS Port Configuration can be enabled via the Early Access Page. This is our first step in building out continued functionality and simplicity by taking advantage of the VLAN Profiles feature on various configuration elements throughout the dashboard.  Navigate to Organization > Early Access page, and toggle “Opt-in" now!

We are excited to announce the public Early Access launch for Systems Manager Scripting! This will allow Meraki Systems Manager to deploy Powershell scripts (.ps1) to Windows devices and shell (.sh) scripts to macOS devices. This is Systems Manager's first Meraki Early Access feature!

Scripting has been a popular feature request for Systems Manager for a long time, so we are excited to finally share this feature. Scripts allow powerful configuration and management control over Windows and macOS devices. 

Navigate to Organization > Early Access page and toggle “Opt-in” for "Deploy scripts for Windows and macOS" to enable this new feature.

We’re thrilled to invite you to join our exclusive private beta program for the highly anticipated Cisco SSO (Single Sign On) feature that will be rolled out to most Meraki users in early 2024. The beta program will start in late July to early August 2023, for a select number of customers prior to the public release of this new feature.

We are excited to announce the release of our latest MS16 software beta version! This release delivered new features and improvements designed to make you more efficient and productive. Upgrade to this new version today for remote network traffic analysis flow improvement and network security enhancement. We encourage you to upgrade to the latest software release and provide us with your feedback.  

Eligible platforms 

MS16 will be applicable to all non-MS390 switches. If your network has MS390 and/or migrated C9300, please refer to our latest Catalyst-based Switching (CS) firmware release. 

The Meraki dashboard team is super excited to announce the public beta launch of not one, but two brand new features today! The Network Service Health and Roaming Analytics features are both available today (03/31/23) via early access and promise to provide even more powerful and intuitive network assurance management capabilities to you, our customers.

Network Service Health

The Network Service Health tile is designed to allow you a one-stop-shop overview of your entire network environment, greatly reducing the lift of assessing network health and granting a quick monitoring and troubleshooting process.

We are super excited to announce the launch of the new Switching Overview feature as part of our continuously improving Meraki dashboard! This new feature provides a centralized management hub that gives you a comprehensive view of the status and performance of your switch infrastructure, allowing for better network understanding and identification of potential issues.

Some of the benefits of the new Switching Overview feature include: 

• Enhanced monitoring experience: The new feature is designed to consolidate wide-ranging alerts, metrics, and overall switch infrastructure health into a condensed bird’s eye view.

• Reduced click-time: You no longer need to browse through an assortment of dashboard pages. View and monitor your switching network with efficiency and speed.

• Ability to forecast future network needs: Understand your switching network’s capacity and current utilization to better predict and plan for network expansion needs.

We are excited to announce the release of our new Meraki Health Organization Alerts page, available today (1/26/23) via early access! This much requested feature results in an incredible efficiency boost, reducing click-time and greatly increasing org-wide visibility.

What does it do? 

The new Org Alerts page aims to:

• Promote Efficiency -  centralizing all dashboard alerts of your organization in a single pane

• Save time - filter and sort alerts to quickly identify critical issues

• Increase ease of use - simplified navigation and improved UI allows you to dismiss irrelevant alerts and reduce excess noise

How do I enable this?

In the dashboard, navigate to Organization > Early Access. Opt-in by clicking the toggle button for New Organization Alert Page & Alert hub Enhancements.

Once enabled via early access you can access the page by navigating to Organization >> Alerts.

SP-Initiated SAML Single Sign On (SSO) is now available for all customers on the Early Access page in the dashboard! This is a fully cross-compatible upgrade to existing Meraki dashboard SSO that allows customers to now use two different types of SAML SSO for the dashboard to best fit their deployment. 

This also means that SSO login is now available for the Meraki mobile app! (iOS/Android)

How to opt in

In the dashboard, navigate to Organization > Early Access. Opt-in by clicking the toggle button for SAML SSO.

How to provide feedback

We care about your feedback, and are actively reviewing feedback and issues related to SP-Initiated SAML SSO. While using the Early Access page, use the Give your feedback button in the bottom-right corner of the page.

Alternatively, if you have feedback for SAML SSO in the mobile app, use the Settings tab, and select Make a wish to leave feedback.

Public License Move in co-termination is now available and accessible via the Early Access Page.

There are many scenarios that may require the transfer of a license from one Meraki dashboard organization to another.

Previously, moving license keys between organizations could only be performed by a member of the Meraki Support team, but now this feature is available on the dashboard and APIs to Meraki customers using the co-termination model.

This is another step towards adding more flexibility for our multi-org customers so they can save time and money spent when moving licenses in co-termination.

Global Overview public beta is live and accessible to all customers as part of our Next Generation Dashboard initiative. This was built for customers that have more than one organization and has new features based on the feedback we have received from many of our customers.

Have different networks in your organization, and looking to watch cameras from different locations in one place?

Great news! Now, you are able to create a cross-network video wall. That’s right, with the ability to add 16 cameras to a single video wall, you can view all relevant video footage in one space. 

Ever get asked “what is xyz feature, when is it coming, which firmware is it in, etc.”?

As you may have noticed, we launched the Next Generation of the Meraki dashboard on June 13th! This release includes a brand new look and feel on dashboard, as well as a new Organization Summary page. 

For the first time, you can now use single sign-on to log in to the Meraki mobile app. In addition, the Meraki Dashboard now supports single sign-on directly from the login screen, without needing to start at your identity provider.

We're looking for customers interested in getting an early look at this new feature that can also provide valuable feedback.
