Joe from the Chattanooga TN area. I have a breath of experience in different platforms. Use Meraki products with many of our customers here and want to be able to discuss use cases for Meraki gear. When it is a great fit and when ...well, it is not a good fit. We use Cisco products SMB to enterprise, Sonicwall, HP switching in SMB areas. Dell/HP/Cisco compute side - IBM/HP/EMC/Nimble for storage. From our wireless side we use Meraki and Ruckus as well as some Cisco - run into Ubiquiti at allot of customers. For telco its Mitel / Cisco. We looked a the MC but ... MTF on that if asked. We are a reseller but presales - post sales and installing this gear really separates the "Marketing Claims" from the "No kidding - this is what it does and does not do"
Finally, have a customer that is using MXs MRs and MSs throughout the network. Pretty large and am learning some of the great things Meraki brings to the table first hand and also some of the shortcomings.
Here to help and learn - will not blow smoke. Seen that too much.
What does the Evangelism team do? I am accustomed to hearing that word related to religion, but that doesn't seem to apply here 🙂

Hello! My name is Thomas and I represent GlobalMac IT. We do Managed IT Services for Apple based law firms across the country. We only deploy the MX series Routers and I have been in love with them since the day I started working with them. Meraki is actually what got me interested in networking and I look forward to the wealth of knowledge in this community and interacting with like minded individuals.
Andrew from Ricoh IT Services in Melbourne Australia. I have been selling Meraki for several years and love the products and so do my customers. I'm joining the community to learn about more experiences with SD WAN using the MX devices and losing the routing needed in traditional networks.
I'm Simon, i work for a Systems Integrator and Managed Service provider...
I've made some comments/suggestions via the portal and have never really heard anything back so maybe this is the ideal place to discuss where i see improvements can be made.
As a managed service provider the reporting function from Meraki is fantastic... although skewed and sometimes difficult to extrapolate. What i'd really like to see is a report that provides downtime of AP's or a what AP's are of a concern either by too many clients attached or excessive throughput etc... (this is where someone tells me its possible)
Thank you for the question.

Thanks for sharing - that is an awesome kit. I'm guessing these units are under a single license pool so there isn't an on-boarding process to register new licenses; you can go right to testing, service restoration, etc. Curious if you have any best practices to share to assure the loan process - such as storage of the kit to make sure everything is operational ready, asset tracking.
I work for Telaid, a services company that supports customers operating their own Meraki networks. We provide field services so this is interesting to me.
Thanks - J
You are right. I create this emergency kit on its own organization and its mostly configured ready to go. Most of our smaller managed site offices does not have or cannot afford redundancy equipment. If 1 equipment fail we can quickly deploy a loaner to keep the site up and running ASAP so that we have some time dealing with RMA / replacement. Few weeks ago a contractor accidentally cut a copper phone line while digging the road on one of our property and it will takes few days for the copper line to be repair by the phone company. We immediately deploy our MC phones and forward all call from the site phone number to the MC number and they are up and running within hours. The site are so happy with the fancy touch screen Meraki MC phones they end up converting their old legacy phone system to Meraki MC.

I'll start searching the boards to see how I set up my MX65 to handle the DHCP services from my second location.
Hi DougieChef, to implement a DHCP relay it is easy, in menu Security Appliance in DHCP in Client Addressing select "Relay DHCP to another server" option, and in the box below you write your DHCP server IP.

My name is Andrew and ... oh, wrong meeting.
I'm a principal within nedwos and we help SME's with all of the "back office" type work in a complete managed way. eg all their IT, comms, software etc along with processing accounts, paperwork, monthly accounts and such.
All this is tied-up with best-of-breed technology that most SME's don't know about or cannot access because of licence counts/fees because they are too "expensive" for the bigger service providers to support. We are the middle-men, and provide exceptional first-line support for our clients, building upon the experience of all our clients.
This allows SME's access to the best enterprise security, data protection, voice/voip comms, workflow automation, marketing and systems.
We ARE your office, allowing you time to do your business.
Hi there Community. My name is Joel and I work for a managed network an security service provider SageNet based in Tulsa, OK with offices also in Reston, VA, Marietta, GA, Chicago, IL, and Philadelphia, PA. I've been an avid Meraki fan, user and champion since 2011. I'm in our sales engineering team so I work closely with our sales teams, customers, and our network engineering team to design solutions for customers and of course, I see most things through green colored glasses so to speak. The majority of our customers are multi-site, distributed C-Store, restaurant and retail chains. And I was honored to have attended the March 2017 Meraki Masters session. Cheers!
My name is Daniel Jean-Toussaint and I am a Network Administrator and IT Manager for a private school in the Greater New York City Area. I am excited to be a part of this brilliant community and look forward to sharing my knowledge and learning from you all.
