When under Policy I choose for a client "Different polices by Connection and SSID" And then: Security appliance: Normal Wifi 1: Blocked Wifi 2: Normal I get the message: "This client is blocked and will not be allowed to access the internet" The client can normally connect to both Wifi networks without any problem. My music streamer (Linn DSM) is connected to the network by WiFi. In the house I have 3 AP (MR42E, MR30H, MR33). Often the Linn DSM, which is close to the MR42E, connects to a farther away AP with a weaker signal and hiccups in the music. Is there a way to force it to connect to the MR42E ? Many thanks ! LD

Just for info,... I' m no expert, but I use ClientVPN almost daily (standard setup) with my MacBook Pro (macOS Catalina) and my iPad without any problems. ClientVPN setup is on an MX65, no more than 2 client logged in simultaneously. LD

Dear, A long time ago I gave a Raspberry Pi a fixed IP adress. This Pi is gone , but now I want to reuse this fixed IP adress for a new one. But trying to do this, how can I set this IP adress free again? can't find this on the Dashboard... Of course I can use a new IP adress (the easiest way), but... I want to know how to remove a fixed IP adress when the associated client isn't accessible (the smart way). Thanks (again...) LD

I have two ISP: WAN1 and WAN2 I would like to send all activity from my SONOS system through WAN2. So I configured: 192.168.128.87 is the fixed IP of the SONOS Bridge in my system. Looking at the "Live Usage" in the Meraki App I see that all usage is still through WAN1 In the documentation I read: Configure the preference similarly to the rule shown below. In this case, the Local IP range of 192.168.128.252/32 is the internal device referenced in a 1:1 NAT rule, and the Preferred uplink is the one using the public IP reference in the same rule. But here I cannot follow any more, as I am not an IT professional (Home use of Meraki System)... Do I still have to make a 1:1 NAT rule (or Layer 3 Firewall ?). Can You please give me an example..... Help very appreciated, and Many thanks in advance !!!! LD

Following this post: The PoE version of the MS220 offers 802.3af. The MR53 needs 802.3at power. If you are powering the MR53 from the MS220 it will retard its performance to live within the power restriction. I looked at my own network: Both the MR30H and MR33 have the same PoE Adapter (Linksys) but: the MR30H has PoE 803.3at and a throughput of 46 Mbps. the MR33 has PoE 803.3af with only 12 Mbps throughput. Is there a way to "force" the MR33 to also choose 803.at (which would improve the speed). Distance tot the gateway (MR42) is for both almost the same. Thanks! LD

At home in my network (MX65W) my wireless settings are: MR42E (gateway) + MR30H in Mesh configuration. This functions very well. The only thing is my Samsung TV (somewhere in the middle): sometimes it connects tot the MR42E, other times tot the MR30H. Signal quality is much better when connected with the MR42E. Is there a way to "force" the TV to connect with the MR42E (without creating an apart WiFi network) ? Thanks, LD

I 've created a Client VPN for connecting to my MX65W when I am out which works fine. But when I look in the dashboard under Security Appliance / VPN Status I get no information. in the Firewall outbound rules I've set UDP Port 9350 open in the VPN Subnet. In the App I get the information "This application is unable to connect to VPN registers using outbound UDP port 9350" Or doesn't Client VPN support VPN Registry ? As I am not an IT professional, any help is welcome. Many thanks, LD

Thanks! I noticed I had the same problem Port Trunking with my QNAP NAS. I had to select 802.3ad on the NAS to activate LACP No its works perfect! And no longer the fault message in the Meraki Dashboard. LD
