Hi All, Does anybody out there in Meraki world have any information on when we may get the 9400 on the Meraki dashboard, I have a client who has over 400 Meraki Access Switches, but are currently refreshing all their Core Catalyst 4500's to Catalyst 9400's (x15) and would like the option to include them in the monitoring, but there is no time lines or any information as to when (or if) this may happen. Not had any issues with using MS Teams with MR42's or any other Meraki MR's. The issues that you have can they be replicated everytime or is it a random error. I cannot see how MS Teams would have that effect on the Meraki MR

Hi Fellow Merakains, Just a quick questions and confirmation, Looking at the MA-ANT-23 with a MR76 for outdoor usage, I know the MR76 has an IP Rated casing but when looking at the MA-ANT-23 data sheet there is no mention of an IP Rating and it is it actually weather and waterproof. I assume that it is as the MR76 is and the ANT-23 are designed for the MR76, There is nothing on the datasheet apart from Temp Range. Just me being cautious and double checking. Can somebody advise or point me to a Meraki docuement that has something about the water/weather proofing Many thanks

Greetings Everybody, Hope you are all safe and well out there. Just a quick Q. I have a customer who purchased his renewal of 3 year ADV SEC licenses for his MX's about 12 months ago, but now wants to upgrade them to SDW. Is there any official path to do this, or is it "Just buy another License for 3 Years SDW", or maybe is there some sort of deal that Meraki would do for the remaining 2 years left of the ADV SEC licenses. If anybody has come across this issue would be glad of some guidance Many thanks

I had my doubts as well as I could not see how it would fit into the dashboard, that is why i reached out, If it is happening I am not sure Meraki would announce it on here as a response to a question, but who knows what will come back after Cisco's week in Las Vegas as that is where they tend to launch new product/services. I kind of thought it would be a good idea due to the weaknesses in Meraki Switching and lots of companies mix Meraki Access Switches with Cisco Enterprise. If it is true then I think it would be a good option - Lets wait and see and if it is true I will await the 1,000,000 Kudos to come flooding in 🙂 lol

Hi Mohammed, Outside of the US you have to select and order the power cables separately, and when I say outside of the US I am not sure if that includes Canada (apologies to all Canadians) as from various visit they are the same power cables. The bonus is that all power cables come in a nice little canvas bag 🙂 Many thanks

Hi Meraki Community, I have heard from a few very good sources that the Cisco Catalyst Switches (have) and will be appearing on the Meraki Dashboard with full functionality and configurations, I have several customers with Meraki and C9K Mix. All, Just a very quick question as I cannot find anything on any of the Meraki Datasheets for it . can you MA-SFP-1GB-TX run at 10/100/1000(1Gb) or is it just 1Gb. I dont have one i can test with and there is nothing anywhere on Meraki that states it can downspeed. I know the Cisco GLC-TE can do 10/100/1000 and thinking that they are basically the same - can anybody confirm. Many thanks

Thanks for the reply, but the answer is really simple, Does Meraki have in their timeline the feature to enable Active/Active on the MX. I totally understand what you are saying but it really doesn't answer the question just goes a long way around to avoid the answer

It's for both, different customers want different things, but mainly in a DC our customers want an A/A setup, one of our customers has a branch MPLS network with DC breakout to the internet, and all traffic is routed out of the main DC. They have the full SEC license on the MX's and one failed, as they are a banking organisation it took too long for the standby to kick in. Having swapped them out for a pair of Cisco ASA's in a A/A setup there is now no loss when we failed one of the units.

In a high capacity DC many customers want A/A ennoblement for load balancing, and quick handover in the event of a hardware failure, all other manufactures Cisco / Juniper / Palo Alto / Checkpoint etc off this functionality and we find that it continually being asked as a requirement instead of having just a warm spare.

This is aimed at Meraki Product Managers, I have had many requirements to put Meraki MX's into data centers with an Active / Active configuration, and I have had to explain to the customer that this configuration is not available. Meraki always state that they are an Enterprise Class Vendor but this is leaving a large hole if the offerings and basic requirements in a DC. Is this a feature that will be coming soon, is it a functional feature that cannot be implemented on the MX's. Sadly I have to resort to other vendors to meet this requirement ( 6 in the last 3 months) - Can you please provide some feedback on this please - Many thanks

I am looking for MTBF Figures for the MR42, I have search through most of the Meraki Datasheets and it appears that it is only some of the older AP's that they have stated the MTBF, the MR42 Datasheet does not state any figures. Does anybody have any figures for the MR42 - Thank you

The idea of the Z1 is to Auto-VPN back into something larger, It has always been designed to be a SOHO devices and to hang off a larger supported platform, The local breakout was designed to be used as a way of connecting to the ISP that is connected into the office/house without interfering with the corporate network i.e so family member can use the Wifi but not transverse the corporate network but to just break out locally

It is something that they are looking to do, I have spoken to a few people at Meraki on this option as had a few requests from some customers who just want a single camera with several areas to be monitored. When I spoke to Meraki they said that it happen but they dont kow to what effect the PTZ would be deployed and would more than likely be a preprogrammed PTZ on set areas rather than a live PTZ function where you can move the camera when and where you want. - but you never know what they may come up with.
