@cmr I have the same issue and have not been able to resolve either. I was thinking the same thing with trying a MV73 when the next round of cameras are being replaced but if that doesn't fix the issue I will be looking alternative vendors. The cameras I have are to protect staff and the hundreds of false positives are useless.

Thanks for sharing, I guessed this was a part of the bigger picture change, it's just frustrating that it's made a simple process difficult. Meraki becoming more aligned with the Cisco Juggernaut was bound to happen at some point.

Yeah it's not great and is just more admin work. The old process was simple, I am guessing the changes are due to Meraki sales being more aligned with Cisco's systems.

Not sure about anyone else but are others having issues with the new order confirmation emails? My dashboard will not accept the software order claim key, it reports it as invalid. The claim full order button just links to https://acount.meraki.com which seems misleading, I would have thought it would be a unique URL to claim the entire order but I guess not. IMO the new method isn't great, splitting software licensing and hardware into seperate emails just means more emails.

I've seen the topology go a bit weird when you have non-Meraki gear in the mix. Also if you have equipment from one network connected to equipment in another that can draw oddly as well.

Yeah, in this instance it seems like notifications were added in simplistic form and has been forgotten about. I would have thought in their own internal testing they would have found the current method lacking.

@ZachL54 glad you have it sorted but I would suggest using ADE if you can, it makes the enrolment process much easier. All you need to do it provide your ABM organisation ID to your Apple authorised reseller and they can have the devices loaded into ADE at the time of purchase.

Hi All One area that I manage needs to have SMS alerts as staff are often not in front of a computer but need to be alerted to security concerns ASAP. Emails aren't reliable because if someone is walking and hears an email notification on their phone they are less likely to check it compared to a SMS alert. Also recipients being granular per camera would be a nice feature as different buildings have different staff. Alert notifications could be associated with the camera profiles.

I would love to see FIDO keys support for dashboard access as well as the usual OTP and SMS options. My org uses FIDO where possible and it would be nice if Meraki offer it as an option.

I agree there is no real need to access this page unless you are configuring a device for the first time or it's have dashboard connectivity issues and you need to see what the device itself is reporting.

This is a vendor agnostic problem it's because of how HTTPS works. Unless you are doing deep packet inspection you won't receive a splash page. I would suggested using the URL http://example.com or set users homepage to be an internal URL that has an HTTP redirect to Google or something.
