I hate New Year resolutions, they are so easy to break. I end up feeling defeated, and lose the time I take. It seems only natural to enter the contest to win, but I know that greed Is horrible, and such a deadly sin. But a chance to get Meraki swag is such a rare delight, that I will try my darned'est to win with all my might. We have two servers, at least it seems to me; that need retired as they're running on '03 and no need to mention the four robust PC That continue to run despite being on XP. The next objective that I have is to make a change you see, to our wiring closets and increase redundancy. I will run fiber from our core switch layer three, and connect to all switches that there be. I'll program them fro aggregate and make them oh so fast. It will increase the robustness we hadn't in the past. Now that's my resolution, from right here where I sit. We'll see if I can win some swag, as if I give a care. ... View more

Yes, 192.168.11.41 is a Dell server utilized for KACE 2000 imaging. While the imaging uses DHCP the KACE is a pass through and not configured (although it could be) for DHCP. 192.168.20.32 is a DHCP server. Would you furhter explain the DHCP and Router page? I assume you mean on the Meraki switches configuration. ... View more

We have had our Meraki switches installed since June but keep getting messages from our system with the latest one coming on December 14. The following 2 examples are what is in the email from the system: The switch in the network Yuma - switch detected a new DHCP server with the following details: MAC: d4:ae:52:89:9f:c0 IP: 192.168.11.41 VLAN: 11 Subnet: 192.168.11.0/24 - Cisco Meraki The switch in the network Yuma - switch detected a new DHCP server with the following details: MAC: 00:18:0a:4f:00:01 IP: 192.168.20.32 VLAN: 30 Subnet: 192.168.30.0/24 - Cisco Meraki We are running MS425-32 layer 3 switches for routing and MS350-48FP switches in our data closets. Is this anything to be alarmed at and why is this happening happening every couple of weeks when neither the DHCP servers or the switches has changed? ... View more

I enabled 802.11r on our network and it really made a difference. We still see some dead spots as you walk around using a Cisco 7921 but the zones of static are much abbreviated and it does not disconnect the call. Thanks for the information! ... View more

I have the same issue with a Cisco 7921. I have to stop any movement and answer the call, hoping that it won't cut out. For the most part that works. Continuing to move from the coverage of one AP to another will cause dead air, for sure. ... View more

Greetings, My name is Kurt and I am a Systems and Network Administrator for the Yuma District Hospital in eastern Colorado. We are a 12 bed rural hospitl and associated clinic with an IT staff of 3. Our responsibilities include everything low voltage, hardware support and software support. We finished a transition to Meraki switches in June from Cisco switches. I am enjoying learning about the Meraki system and the comparative ease to Cisco for programming. The web interface is such a change from what I am used to. I am excited to share knowledge with other folks here in the community. ... View more
