On the other hand, for us it was a problem.  our mx450's were showing 100% utilization and we were killing it.  It even caused it to reboot until we offloaded dns traffic.   I wouldn't say they're 100% accurate but I wouldn't say they should be ignored either.  Kinda like the lights on your vehicles dash.   Many factors go into your utilization and cpu score is driven by packet processing (ids/ips) and anything the mx is routing.  Most important is not to exceed your maximum number of flows.. just out of curiosity you might want to call in and check the number of flows going to the device we were having a similar issue and turned out we were flooding the 450 with DNS traffic.  We offloaded the traffic and our numbers are looking MUCH better ... View more

Same issue here.  We patched to 18.211.3 and with the high utilization still happening support suggested turning off Multicore access at one location to test.  We did that and yesterday we lost auto-vpn between two of our locations. Had to factory reset one site to get it back up.  Called back in and had multicore access re-enabled and it brought our network back up.  Still seeing high utilization but it doesn't appear we're dropping packets.   ...
