YES! More exciting updates to the Dashboard and Vision portal, improving the user experience of MV smart cameras.    Now, for fisheye cameras (MV32, and newly introduced MV93 series) the installation of the cameras can be properly reflected in the dashboard and Vision portal.    How does this change how I view my fisheye cameras?  Taking into consideration the different ways fisheye cameras can be mounted based on the environment, the mounting selection will now inform the zoom behavior.    ...hmm tell me more about the zoom behavior On the dashboard and Vision portal: Ceiling-mounted fisheye cameras: digital PTZ Wall-Mounted fisheye cameras: digital PTZ And how does this improve my experience? This added functionality couldn’t be more timely and needed! With the recent release of the MV93 series , we get that there are fewer opportunities for ceiling-mounted cameras outside. So, you are able to deploy how it best fits your setting (ceiling or wall), and fully utilize the 360° capabilities indoors and outdoors.    Great! Where can I find this setting? In the Dashboard > While viewing a fisheye camera > Settings > Video Settings > Mounting Options       The mounting option can be selected in the Dashboard, and it will be reflected in the dashboard and Vision portal.       Note: this setting is currently in BETA and will only apply to users with fisheye cameras.   For more information on this update, please refer to the MV Documentation article .   ...   We are thrilled to introduce Theater mode to the Vision portal!   Juggling several responsibilities in addition to monitoring can be tedious and often means opening many windows, which can significantly affect productivity. With the Theater mode, you can now engage in multiple tasks in the same browser.   For the early adopters (  👋  ), you might be asking: "...what’s the difference between Fullscreen and Theater mode?    Fullscreen gives you the ability to hyper focus on surveillance without any distractions. The video wall or single camera would occupy the entire device screen real estate.      Theater mode gives you greater flexibility when managing several aspects of your job duties - you can easily open additional tabs and maintain a "full screen" on the Vision portal tab while in Theater mode. In essence, the single camera or video wall footage will take up all the space for that tab, but doesn’t prevent you from accessing other tabs within the same browser.        If you haven’t already, here’s a gentle push to try Theater mode on the Vision portal - we look forward to your feedback , which goes directly to the MV product team !          Are you up to date?   If the new changes aren't visible to you in the Vision portal, you may need to update your version. Click on the "What's New" icon in the top right of the navigation to view your version, and update to the latest.    The Vision portal can be accessed directly by going to vision.meraki.com ,  or through the dashboard by going to "Cameras", then selecting "Vision portal". For more information on the Vision portal, please refer to the "Using the Meraki Vision Portal" documentation article.         ... View more

[Note: This feature is currently available in beta.]   You’ve spoken, and we’ve heard. Get more done in the Vision Portal.    Have different networks in your organization, and looking to watch cameras from different locations in one place? Great news! Now, you are able to create a cross-network video wall. That’s right, with the ability to add 16 cameras to a single video wall, you can view all relevant video footage in one space.    Say goodbye to toggling between networks to view footage on different video walls.    Now, on the Vision portal:    Create video walls Single/multi-network wall  View new fisheye presets available Change sizing for video tiles View the network time zones for the different cameras (Multi network only)   Let’s dive a little deeper:  > Create single/multi-network video wall: With Admin privileges, you can now bypass the dashboard and create video walls in the Vision portal. Camera-only admins will be able to view video walls created, depending on their access levels.    You will now see the video wall page has the option for single/multi-network. Click here for a step-by-step to create a video wall in the Vision portal.            > Fisheye presets available:  With the flexibility of the fisheye camera (MV32), you can choose your view. You have the option of keeping the warped view, choosing out of the four preset views presented, or creating your custom view. What area do you need to monitor for the purposes of this video wall?      > Change sizing for video tiles: Depending on the areas being secured, your organization might have certain areas that might be heavily trafficked or highly sensitive, which might then need more attention. This is now possible by configuring and enlarging the tiles to accommodate the need. As you create the video walls, you can now configure it to best meet your physical security needs. You are able to move cameras around, to create the best order, as well as increase/decrease the tile size for more monitoring that’s just right.       > View the network time zones for different cameras (Multi Network Only) Now that you can create a video wall across several networks, it is likely that these networks might be in different time zones. Within the video wall, the cameras in their respective time zones will be shown as well.        The Vision portal is a dedicated destination for physical security users, and so we continue to look forward to your feedback!      For more detailed steps on creating a multi-network video wall, and more information on the Vision portal, please refer to the documentation article.   *This feature will be visible only if you have at least one video wall with camera tiles on the Dashboard.     Oh, before you leave…   Are you up to date?: If the new changes aren't visible to you in the Vision portal, you may need to update your version. Click on the "What's New" icon in the top right of the navigation to view your version, and update to the latest.    The Vision portal can be accessed directly by going to vision.meraki.com ,  or through the dashboard by going to "Cameras", then selecting "Vision portal".   ...   We have an exciting new update that makes it easier to find video across time ranges, giving you a better overall search experience.   Time range filter for Motion Search You now have a more guided approach in the Vision portal when using Advanced Motion Search.     You can now get limited Motion Search results with our new time-range-filter. This makes searching for specific time frames such as the weekend, weekdays or simply over the course of a few hours much easier. Let’s say you need to investigate activity that happened after the store closed in the span of several days because no one was physically present, now you can easily do that by just moving your cursor on this filter.   You can also minimize the search results to reduce clutter on the screen and focus on the day-by-day results.       Some more updates made to improve the Vision portal experience:   Timepicker date selection issue for users on a different timezone than the network timezone Various performance and stability improvements   Are you up to date?: If the new changes aren't visible to you in the Vision portal, you may need to update your version. To make it easier, there will be an ‘Update’ button highlighted in blue, like below, which will take you to a Vision portal update.       The Vision portal can be accessed directly by going to vision.meraki.com ,  or through the dashboard by going to "Cameras", then selecting "Vision portal". Great question!    If the "Update" button isn't manually clicked, the app will eventually update to the latest version after a relaunch of the interface (assuming no other Meraki Vision applications are open). The button exists for those who wish for the update as soon as it is available. ... View more
