We're thrilled to announce the launch of Device End-of-Life (EoL) Visibility 🔍 in the Meraki Dashboard! This new feature is designed to enable more effective and proactive management of Meraki and Cisco devices.
Here's what's new: With Device End-of-Life (EoL) Visibility, critical EoL milestones like End of Sale and End of Support dates are now available directly on the Inventory page.
🔔Summary messages are provided, with lists of impacted devices that can be easily exported to plan upgrades or replacements and ensure network performance and support compliance.
💡Intelligent Alerts: Timely alerts for various EoL milestones will be provided. Alerts for devices that have reached End of Support are non-dismissible, ensuring critical information remains visible until action is taken. Other alerts (for End of Sale and End of Support in the next year) are dismissible and reappear after 30 days.This enhancement empowers proactive lifecycle management, whether for Meraki Legacy Devices or Cisco devices (Unified Hardware and Cloud monitored Catalyst Devices), further aligning with the robust capabilities offered in Catalyst Center for a more unified device management experience across platforms.
Availability: The feature is now GA with a few exclusions. This feature is not available for PDL organizations. Also, this feature is not available for Service Provider organizations since End-of-Life communications are managed directly by service providers.
