Your main issue I can see is that both MX's will use the same external port for Meraki client VPN, so unless you have multiple external IP's, there's no way you can get both VPN's working from the same IP. Is the issue here that you have users who are configured to VPN to Site-A that you don't want to re-configure for Site-B, or are you just trying to avoid changing the IP on the server? ... View more

@KarstenI , this issue is sort of like hydra as in, we fix one instance of the issue, can no longer reproduce it, and for some reason, it keeps coming back one way or another.   You are right, that this was originally seen in switch 11, but was rare. This issue started getting reported more often in later versions which led to the issue being investigated further and resolved in MS 14.28. The changelog message for this fix was: In rare circumstances, the next hop VLAN is incorrectly modified for existing OSPF SVIs when a new SVI is added which will also participate in OSPF. A reboot will correct this (present since MS 11) Shortly after, additional reports of similar issues were reported. These were resolved in MS 14.31. Changelog message for this: Modifying SVIs on switches could cause the next-hop VLAN to be incorrectly set; which would result in routing outages The most recent occurrence, that is impacting MS 14.31+ versions is yet again, another instance of this issue. The MS 14.32, along with MS 15.2+ changelogs have been modified to have the following issue in the "Known Issues" section: In rare scenarios, changes made to SVIs may result in connectivity loss for one or more SVIs until reboot (present since MS 14.31) This issue is actively being investigated, with hopes that it will make it into a future release soon.    Hopefully, I have been able to add a bit of additional clarity around the troubles you are facing.  ... some quick notes on the MS450 with 10G/40G connections on what "works" & "broken" with the latest Beta 15.4 Firmware...  We can connect MS450 to MX95 via 10G using 3rd party 10G SR modules  and the Cisco CVR-QSFP-SFP10G 40G adapter - no problems... (many 3rd party 40G/10G converter modules failed - thankfully we found a Cisco Refresh version of the adapter module but still expensive)..  MS450 to Mellanox NIC with 40G Direct attach 3rd party also works fine..   What is "broken" is trying to link MS450 to MS390 via 40G module (MA-MOD-2X40G) using a Meraki 40G cable MA-CBL-40G-1M no lights nothing... Direct attached cable should work... Support couldn't resolve... the only workaround is to buy two 40G SR-BD modules and your own OM4 Cable which is crazy /expensive  if you only need 1/2 to 1 Meter uplink.. between two switches..   Regarding the MS390 40G to MX95 10G link above even with Meraki SR Modules if you unplug either module and plug back in the Green light comes back on but you cannot ping the other side unless you reboot the MS390 and MX95 - so I think the MA-MOD-2X40G module has some issues on the MS390 ... There are less expensive gig and multigig MX's. The MX75/85/95/105. The MX100 is old and end of sale anyway.   As for load balancing across two MX64's you need to have them both with active licenses (not HA pair) and there would need to be an intelligent downstream device sending traffic to each MX.   Your best best here is get a MX75 and call it good. Or, even go lower to a MX67 which is rated for 450Mbps and you're getting most of what your internet connection provides. ... View more
