Yes it requires 18.2 and it shouldn't even show unless a MX is running 18.2. Known issue and being worked on.

You are most definitely being filtered if it works with LMAC . The real MAC is on a naughty list somewhere. this is why mac filtering is an ineffective tool, too easy to circumvent

Ryan, I sincerely appreciate you sharing your knowledge. My root issue is the Meraki AP's filling up our Splunk license allocation, my goal is to cut back on those deny logs. At present, I'll keep client balancing disabled. Maybe later I'll re-review this to see what other options I have to either prevent AP broadcast from reaching the firewall on port 61111 or auto deleting those logs from splunk. Thank you.

It would be nice to see a move away from the devices requiring MR or MV. To me it limits the market with that being a requirement. A great way to get new customers is to get them using cheaper products which draws them into opening their wallet more in the future.

I agree with him, but the number of clients must also be taken into consideration, and when I talk about the number of clients I am referring to the total number of clients, such as VPN clients, local clients, etc. Don't you think it makes sense? Generally (I think the vast majority of cases) it is the factor that should be taken into consideration the most.

We use MR44s or now CW9162s in low density mobile areas (such as corridors and fire escapes) so the 4:4 would not make any difference. At the moment neither will the 6GHz for 99% of devices, but I'm sure it will get used in the future...

Are you 100% sure the switch port configurations for all of the APs are the same? Are you sure that the VLANs being used are presented too all of the switches being used by the APs? For the APs that fail - do they fail 100% of the time, or is it intermittent? Do the Aruba switches have any kind of DHCP security function that is enabled?

The uplinks are MX250 p 3 to sw3 p 43 mx250 p 4 to sw5 p 38 and mx250 p5 to sw3 p 44 which is for the dmz

Just to be clear, the Z3C must connect to the Internet either via a wired Ethernet connection via its WAN port or via a cellular connection. It can't connect to another WiFi network in the house for Internet access using it's built in WiFi capabilities. If you can plug the WAN port of the Z3C into the Ethernet port of one of these existing WiFi APs and get "ordinary" Internet access - that is fine. The WiFi in the Z3C is only for clients to connect to.

@Ryan_Miles So the issue is I see the "wired Mac" section empty on Meraki event alerts. So it can't even match it. Yea, I will probably open a support case to understand more and what I am missing.

In addition to the other comments here, I highly suggest the app "Wifi Analyzer" on Android, which I've found useful in the past. It's not particularly featureful but very handy for simple things like this.

This is such an expansive question. It is hard to answer given so little information. I would recommend contacting a Cisco Meraki partner, and engaging with them around the design.
