If you cannot configure your upstream firewall/router, then there is nothing you can do that will make this work in a proper way.

Ah .... so its not supported in a HA pair. Hot dang, I did not know that. But even just searching this forum for that "topic" reveals that that is the issue *cry*. Ow well ... .. do we REALLY need HA anyway ... ... . ... Thanks for pointing me in the correct direction. PS: I was looking at the configuring IPv6 on MX documentation page, and it was not mentioned there, BUT .. it IS however mentioned on the "IPv6 Support on MX Security & SD-WAN Platforms - Core Fundamentals" page. Maybe I have gone blind during my vacation, who knew that could happen 🙂

You write "migration" ... do you mean converting these APs to be running on the dashboard without a local WLC ? Then no, that is only for the CW916x APs (where you can actually start the migration on the 9800 WLC). For monitoring the 9800 WLC with the C9100 APs on the dashboard yes, that is supported as mentioned by others.

1. Yes it talks ibgp automatic to the spokes. "My guess is that the only time you would need to enable BGP on more then one MX is in a multi DC (eBGP) scenario" <- yes, but it now also support routed mode bgp, so when you run mx/sdwan + lan switch/router with bgp support you could mode layer3 to lan and exchange dynamic routes. (imo Better the 1 way ospf) 2. It advertises anything it learns to the spokes, also default route. The same is when you have a spoke and you set a default route to the lan side, and advertise it into autovpn that route is also used by any spoke 3, the route table always have been a mess. Especially with bgp

@RMarchant I think it was fixed for existing installs, as opposed to conversions. Is there an option of removing the module to do the migration and then plugging it back in?

WPN was modeled after the UDN feature which is supported on APs in Catalyst mode - https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/solutions/enterprise-networks/user-defined-network.html

LOL ... it actually worked ... re-installing the ap. I never saw that one comming, all other orgs, and networks in the app where woring just fine, except the one with the monitored switches and wlc. Fun. Thanks 🙂

We've been banging our heads against the wall for the last couple days trying to solve the issue with our Zebra scanners and roaming between APs. Support advised us to disable Mandatory DHCP and it worked, the first thing we said after that is that that setting needs an 'i' info bubble! I found this in the documentation today, and it's exactly what needs to be in that info bubble. "Enabled: Wireless clients associated to an AP (either new associations or clients that roamed from another AP) that have not requested a DHCP address are placed in a blocked state and are not able to send any traffic on LAN and WAN."

Just popping in as a datapoint on this topic. Meraki is pushing to get more IoT devices into the market.. having this option even with licensing would make it easier to accomplish this. If an admin needs to monitor a room or space apply one of the IoT licences to the AP, or if a space that needs to be monitored that doesn't have an AP then install a standalone unit.

I may have found out something about the 1:1 NAT. Apparently the 1:1 NAT will not even try to work if the destination is not in the ARP table of the Meraki. And, in my case the destination device didn't seem to fill the ARP table in my short testing window. After trying another destination device, it started working about 24 hours where it did not initially upon setup. Very strange it takes so long to update the ARP table.

Hi guys, I tried the above but we're still experiencing this. To note it's only for new users trying to join Wi-Fi. The hops are still dropping at 10.128.128.128. Any more ideas where to check?

It definitely works on an RMA, I had a 65 replaced by a 68 and the license was converted, but it did take several emails to the Meraki licensing team as support couldn't do it themselves...

Other is patches and it is considered the latest stable patch. If you check the firmware updates forum you will see it labelled as such. We are running it on multiple MX84s and HA pairs of MX84s with the enterprise feature set.

Yeah and I think this is what confused me. Also ... its almost impossible to work around from other equipment. I cant wait until someday where Meraki also supports MST (with more then one instance) or another per vlan STP version where you can control things a bit more.

I experienced issues on N70 a few weeks ago with summary page and switch port client info not loading and basically timing out. Support said there were no issues and to try different browsers and connections all which made no difference. I have a feeling the new UI updates are causing some issues that they aren't aware of yet. My issue came right after 4-5 days.
