Correct.  When I advertised the SSID publicly, its visible and I can connect.  When its hidden, the SSID is not able to be connected to.  The wireless GPO lets PCs in the GPO security group see the SSID and connect based on computer certificates.     This works as intended for all other devices except Qualcomm network adapters. ... Pinging towards wireless clients usually is not that stable. If  you can see the PHY rate on the clients please do check. Then check on the Meraki side what the SNR of the client is (if you go to an AP status page you can see each connected client and his upstream signal strength which is the SNR).  If it is above 30 dB your connection is excellent.  Then you still need to check the airtime utilization on the channels of the AP on the same page.  Also check which channel the clients are connected on.  If your 2.4 GHz radio is busy and your client happens to be connected on 2.4 then that is normal. Having 150 Mbps speed on a wireless client is excellent throughput if you have multiple clients in that area.  If your application requires low latency and/or low jitter then you will need to check airtimes, QoS tagging on your wireless frames (by doing an OTA capture). ... It also only seemed to do it for a "short while" , and I could see all these clients on the summary page, with all the public IP addresses (but , as far as I can remember), with the MAC of the MX on all. But apparently they where all counted as a new client. That is quite strange (a disappointment even ?) because the 9800 WLC uses the native Nextunnel for monitoring ever since 17.12.3.   But I can wait, and use the old "app" for putting switches into monitoring mode. I do have some customers that dont like that way , at all, and they are just waiting for the rest of the Catalyst switches to work like the C9800.   ... View more

Because our Routing, and access to the internet is hosted/managed by a 3rd party. Their equipment would be required to be online 24/7 - our routing would be then patched into this. Critical servers, and services would then be maintained through that connection. We would then look to host a Meraki AP through that device to serve the MT30. Although the aspiration is for NetZero its not possible to power off Everything - we are also pushing for onsite Solar, and battery storage, which would have to be large enough to power Servers etc as required. ... I will also be monitoring and trying to figure out whats going on .... but a part of me has this nagging feeling, that someone realised that they where "giving away" a feature in the Meraki ENT license, that was in the Cisco Classic ADV license ... we cant have that 🙂   To me RRM has always been a Cisco selling point, and I have always felt that moving AI/ML RRM to the ADV license in Cisco Classic was a big mistake (because its "default" in some of those other "competitive companies" solutions, as far as I know).   Im all for having advanced features like SGT, VRF, VXLAN, Umbrella and so on in ADV licenses, because all those are / can be "special cases" for advanced networks. But I see AI-RRM as a basic feature, because it suits every network / IT departments very well. And that AI/ML model still needs all kinds of networks to be trained on, in order to be better, so the more networks get the feature (aka. it should be a ENT feature), the larger dataset it can be trained on, the better the solution / product ? Or am I the only one that thinks this way ?   PS: LOL , I just saw that the MR-ADV license now includes 2xMT licenses, I have somehow missed that. ... View more
