MX64W wifi issue.

I am using MX64W as router/AP/dhcp/firewall. But the issue is when we connect mobile phone to wifi , it unable to grab ip address. The MX64W is connected to the cisco switch. The 3 ethernet ports configured on MX64W is access port  which is connected to the switch . The 3 x ports on switch is configured as trunk.

When we disconnect the MX64W from the switch , the mobile phone is able to grab ip address. What could be root cause ? is it due to access port and trunk port connection ?

can you try connect your switch  and mx with just one trunk connection on both sides and try again.

Not sure why you would connect 3 ports from the MX to the Switch?

And even if you do basic rule in networking => both sides of the cable should have the same configuration!

Just connect 1 cable from the MX towards the Switch and trunk both ports with the same Native VLAN and allowed VLAN ALL.

Here to help

Can you provide the configuration of the 3 ports on the switch side and the port configuration on the MX side?

Sounds like there may be a misconfiguration of the ports. Maybe a native vlan mismatch.

Like the others have said, you could simplify your configuration by configuring one port on the switch as a trunk with all the VLANs you need. On the MX side, configure one port similarly. Then you could use one connection to carry three different networks. Just make sure both sides have the same native vlan.
