Sanity check - Create MG / MT networks

Hello

Sanity check, is there no support in the API today to create an MG Network and assign MG devices? - same with MT it appears? Have a large rollout that needs this platform capability. It appears not, when will these be added?

Cheers

I don't know the answer.

I would create a network with an MG, and then call GetNetwork to see what device types are returned.

https://developer.cisco.com/meraki/api-v1/#!get-network

Once you know the name of the device type used for MG, you should be able to use it with:

https://developer.cisco.com/meraki/api-v1/#!create-organization-network

or:

https://developer.cisco.com/meraki/api-v1/#!update-network

Hi Philp

I believe it to be /cellularGateway/ but not seeing this documented anywhere, will try and give it a try on Postman. I'm sure when the MG was first launched it was touted as an API-first build so definitely surprised it cant be spun up via the API, I could be making that up though.

Cheers

This API lets you update the MG configuration itself:

https://developer.cisco.com/meraki/api-v1/#!update-device-cellular-gateway-lan

Thanks we are using the other MG endpoints in the build but have a need to spin up 100s/1000s of sites in one shot with MX, MR, MS, MV, MT and MG devices in one simultaneous provisioning action
