You can use either port 1 or 2 for the SFP, but it will impact which port the RJ-45 cable goes. There is a better solution for you, Secure Connect. This is the evolution of Meraki and cloud security together. Secure Connect allows easier and more flexible ways to deploy MX sties to have the traffic inspected. Onboarding a spoke to Secure Connect does inject a default route to the spoke MX. We also can deploy MX hubs to Secure Connect which does not inject the default route. We can mimic the default route by using the Secure Connect Hubs as Exit hubs. There are flexible options how MX spokes communicate to MX hubs. Check out the Meraki Secure Connect documentation and the hub integrations here. Its still happening?  this has been going on for a week now ! The desired management vlan is 251 - which is the lease (ip related to cloud mangement) and its lease period is 3days, however it will bind but then after the Other vlans on trunk which are 252-257 lease time 8hours also bind, 251 goes back into a waiting state and doesnt rebind unless i can manage to manually delete all the others, but then again! it can be bound on the correct vlan and then the process just recurs, with it picking up ip's on the other vlans etc ... We find that you should have each connected to another when you power up like this to enable the initial stack forming.  We normally have switch 1 to internet switch 2 to switch 1 on a front port that is trunk native VLAN 1, switch 3 to 2 etc.  Soon after powering them all up the front port inter-switch links will start blocking and you can remove them. ... Also note on orgs that use saml logins - you need to leave yourself as a regular organization admin with an alias email address in order to get notifications about licenses.  Meraki just turned off our organization that is licensed till 2027 because a device was added to the dashboard but the purchased license was applied.  The only notice that is sent is to the non saml org admins. ...
