Previously, Trusted Access profiles all expired on the same date. With this new feature, admins can configure a time period (e.g., one month, one year), and the expiration date and time will be determined when the end user downloads the profile to their device.   With this new functionality, Trusted Access now offers several key benefits:   Flexibility: Dynamic expiration dates enable admins to tailor profile expiration periods to individual users or groups, ensuring access privileges stay up-to-date and relevant. The newest version of the Systems Manager Agent, v3.1.1, is now generally available for distribution to macOS and Windows devices on all SM networks.   On macOS devices, Agent v3.1.1 now has better support for Big Sur and Apple's M1 silicon devices by automatically installing Rosetta 2 when required. On Windows devices, Agent v3.1.1 includes a couple bug fixes along with some important performance and security improvements.     To enable v3.1.1 in a network, check out these steps to set a preferred Agent version. Systems Manager Agent v 3.1.0 is now generally available for download on Windows and macOS devices in all SM networks.  In this new release, the agent moves to a network-agnostic form factor which is important for a variety of reasons including: Increased security Better license consumption protection Enhanced future feature velocity   This update also represents a significant change to the enrollment workflow on target devices.  Similar to the enrollment workflows on other currently supported device platforms, SM Agent v3.1.0 prompts for the SM network ID or network enrollment string during installation.  This information can be passed as a parameter if installing via script or group policy for seamless silent installation.   SM admins have the ability to manage the preferred version of the agent used for all devices in their networks, or upgrade/downgrade the agent on specific devices.  For more information about how to manage agent versions check out this Documentation article.   To read about the changes and updates in each Agent release, check out this Documentation article. ... Systems Manager admins can now remove multiple Trusted Access devices simultaneously from the Trusted Access Devices List. This enables admins to disable network access on target devices and free up available device slots for end users.   To remove/delete Trusted Access devices in bulk, navigate to Systems Manager > Trusted Access, select the target devices, then click "Remove devices."   The Trusted Access Devices List also includes optimizations to the sort and filter functions, allowing admins to properly congregate and aggregate devices in the view.   ... Systems Manager now supports a number of updates for iOS/iPadOS 14, Apple's latest major mobile operating system.  These changes include the following:   Settings New updates to configuration profile payloads allow admins more control over settings on devices running iOS/iPadOS 14. These changes include:   Restrictions - Disable the ability to add App Clips WiFi - Disable MAC address randomization when associating to a managed wireless network Notifications - Control preview behavior when a notification is displayed Setup Assistant - Bypass potential Setup Assistant screens when a device is updated to a new version of iOS. Associated Domains - Ensure devices access domains directly instead of using Apple's content distribution network Per Account VPN - Establish a VPN connection on a per account basis.  Available in the Exchange ActiveSync, Calendar, Contacts, and Google Account payloads   Automated Device Enrollment (aka DEP) New "skip" options are now available to allow admins to bypass screens in the Setup Assistant when devices are initialized using Apple's automated device enrollment (aka DEP).  Admins can now skip the "Get Started" and "Update Completed" screens.  Follow the steps here to assign new DEP settings containing the updated skip options to devices.     App Management Admins now have the ability to prevent end users from removing specific apps on devices running iOS/iPadOS 14.  To prevent users from removing an app, uncheck the "Removable" option in the App Details options. If the app has already been deployed to devices, admins can initiate an update on target devices in bulk by pushing an install/upgrade command from the app details page. Systems Manager admins can now change or remove device owners from Apple DEP-synced devices. This enables organizations to ensure device owner tag-scoped apps and profiles are associated to DEP-synced devices prior to enrollment.     To change or remove a device owner, go to Systems Manager > Manage > DEP. Enable the checkbox next to the target device(s) to select them from the list then click the "Actions" button in the toolbar to select the appropriate action.     ... View more
