Meraki MX, should 'client' traffic equal 'network' traffic

Should the traffic shown on the Clients tab equal the network usage shown on the Appliance status tab?

This'll be aggregating all traffic on MX/S/R etc. Traffic between two wireless clients, for example, wouldn't show on the Security & SD-WAN > Appliance Status page, but it would be counted on the Network-Wide > Clients page by the MR.

So should the client traffic at a minimum equal the appliance traffic?  Any traffic going in or out of the appliance should hit a client.

In general if you have 1 switch and all traffic goes through that then yes I would expect approximate parity as below:

Equally one MX on a network with no servers should be pretty similar with the appliance averaging over a longer time period, so lower peaks but the area under the line is similar:

However go beyond a network of one switch , one MX or one AP and it can get very different.
