We want to implement the Dashboard API in to our customer service solution, however without being to query the device for the app and app version installed we would not find connecting the two very useful.

Have you looked at the software report? I manually export both this and the client list CSV in to excel and link the two.
From a service provider prospective, this is an area that could be greatly improved. I want to be able to just 'login in' and look at report X, rather than 'please wait while I build this for you and check it over'.
