I don't think this is something that can be adjusted as it would affect battery life but also could mean that if the device is put inside a backpack and it's still transmitting at normal rates it could get hot and become a fire hazard.

I am seeing odd things with SM clients as well in what looks like the devices page is stuck with some form of cached version.

@UnkeptBedroom There is a good chance that this is happening when the devices are asleep and it's affecting the overall average. MacOS devices even when they are asleep are still active on the network, if you ping a device thats asleep you get very large ping times i.e. 300-800ms This is me pinging an iPad thats asleep

As mentioned you will need to involve your account manager. I would do some research first to see if there is any benefit cost wise of moving from PDL to subscription licensing, if theres not is there any point in going through all the effort.

And each site is connecting to a single NPS hosted via a site to site VPN or does each site have their own NPS?

Just confirming by location specific do you mean a single site out of multiple sites or a location within single site?

How many client devices are you supporting? Is the NPS server being over utilised? Is the problem site wide or location based?

Is anyone else having issues with newly enrolled devices taking 15-20 minutes to show up in the devices list? I can view the device via the ADE page but isn't listed in the devices page for some reason. This has been an issue for a week now. Shard is N70

What version of Windows is being used and are you running the latest version of the SM agent? Are the installs failing on new hardware or existing hardware?

@garonson This will 100% work, one network I manage has MS, MV, MR and MT all sitting behind a Fortigate. As Darren mentioned just make sure that the required outgoing WAN rule allows the required ports. These can be found by logging into the dashboard and under the help menu and selecting firewall info.

@Esteban31 Yes, the basic settings can be configured via a local status page however in order to properly operate it requires an internet connection and a license.

This is due to how HTTPS works. Most modern browsers and OS have captive portal detection that should mitigate the issue in most cases.

I guess at the end of the day who legally owns the equipment i.e. who purchased it and has proof of purchase.

I also found the MT20 door sensor a much better option and then simply assign a camera to that sensor.

I noticed the same thing, I have a handful of Android devices that have not checked in since they were originally configured, as I'm not to bothered I just ignored it but can see why this is a problem if you are actively managing these clients.
