This is a known issue that occurred at some point in MX17.X - not entirely sure which version, we jumped from 15.X to 17.X a few months ago and this started spamming our syslog. I opened a case with support, and to quote: "We do not yet have a full fix for this in versions of MX firmware that have support for IPv6 (namely 17 and above) but version 16 does not have this issue." The last update to that case was in February, haven't heard anything since.

Thanks guys, there was a upstream firewall blocking some ports, can this resolved and switches upgraded and no longer reboot.

These are seen: Auto Negotiation on PE device 1) When using laptop (auto) seeing very slow upload, when using laptop (100MbpsFD) getting almost subscribed speed (up/down). 100Mbps FD on PE deice 1) When using laptop (auto) seeing very slow upload, when using laptop (100MbpsFD) getting almost subscribed speed (up/down). 2) When connected to Meraki, wan port showing 100Mbps HD; slow upload on laptop connected to ethernet (LAN). We are getting the ISP to replace their PE.

When booting , some Meraki devices like to use a combo of 0.0.0.0 or 6.x.x.x . That might be the case. Has the AP rebooted recently ?

I have a StS configuration with 2 mx and 18.107.2 and the connection is 1Mb/s. The connection between one of them and a USG 3p with StS is 10Mb/s which is the maximum that the USG gives.

Thanks all. We currently only have Hub sites not in template. Looks like we are going to have to unbound some sites from the Template and use them as test sites going forward.

Are the branches using all the same hardware. Are you able to find a pattern in the branches with issues i.e. similar model / firmware etc.

Hi , Would it be possible to do a complete revamp / rework of the documentation about the MX support for FQDN in the firewall section ? The only thing that I could find is that : https://documentation.meraki.com/MX/Firewall_and_Traffic_Shaping/MX_Firewall_Settings But it doesn't include a lot. 1- You can't have a wildcard in the middle of your fqdn ( abc.*.com is not supported ) 2- I had opened a case about a weird behavior which ended up being expected : Hi Raphael, Based on the response I received from our Product Specialists and Engineering teams, the expected behavior is to treat (domain).(TLD) without a subdomain as a wild card, so adding *.(domain).(TLD) when a subdomain is used would treat it as a specific example. So (subdomain).(domain).(TLD) This one is crucial. Creating a rule with microsoft.com will allow everything under microsoft ( essentially *.microsoft.com ) I don't think that a lot of user are aware of this. Thanks ,

I have been a member for some time. I think it was announced here quite some time ago. It is a nice distraction if you need a brake but don't want to move from your chair (yes, not the best brake). I got some nice swag from the rewards program, like shirts and mugs.

Looking at pcaps I see when it pings a RFC1918 IP the source is the highest VLAN IP with VPN enabled. When pinging a "public" IP the source is the WAN IP.

In Meraki terms the MS355 switch can do 10GbE over copper, but you really should have CAT6a cabling for anything over 1GbE. We have several CW9166 APs and though we have got them to run at 2.5Gb on shielded CAT5e and 5Gb on shielded CAT6, they are more stable at 1Gb on either of those. Runs are 60-70m.

Yes. Also, never use a hidden network on 5 GHz. Clients will struggle as they can’t probe on a DFS channel

Using it with MS425, 225 and 120 switches and apart of upgrade not going very well the devices seem to work just fine (no rollback done or so). DHCP relays 802.1x, SecurePort all work correctly, didn't notice any POE issues as some reported.

Thanks for sharing this, we encountered this issue last week and came across your post. We had been holding back the firmware for an MX95 also for some time on the 16.6.6 build as the 17.x firmware and 18.x firmware right up to the latest 18.107.2 build was causing issues. Web Dev testing the issue was running 'time curl -v <webpage>' would either timeout or take 20-30 seconds on the newer firmware, rollback to 16.6.6 and instantly load. Changed the the client tracking mode from MAC address to IP address per your post and the issue was resolved.

Hey, The MT Devices should use Bluetooth and connect to a MR nearby. Of course there are a lot of Bluetooth sensors on the market, but personally I would love to see 3rd party Integrations, such as: LoRa/LoRaWAN, Enocean/ZigBee or Z-Wave using USB Port on a MR.
