Hi, first I thought that could be a major problem at Meraki, because so many network where affected, but the number of alarms is getting lower now. I opened a ticket now and waiting for a response: Case 09711653 The manageability was not affected all the time.

Hi community, on many of my networks I have this alert: Meraki cloud communication issues Starting from 13.05.23 and 14.05.23 It affects all device types. The affected devices are online and I can't find any log entry about this issue. Any suggestions? EDIT: Using the new alert-page

I'am still discussing with support about this topic and wondering why most other vendors have a "complete NAT solution" implemented in their solutions. I don't want to install a Sophos in an Meraki-ONLY environment because NAT is only implemented in basic manner.

Any news here? I'am currently on a POC and it seems that this is the show-stopper for the Meraki solution. I simply need a 1-to-many NAT from a LAN to a LAN or VLAN to VLAN.

Hi, as of today, should I even offer a Meraki Go solution to a new customer? Because for the small SMB customer, a price comparison with the Meraki Enterprise solution is sometimes twice as high. So the only alternative is Ubnt or other third-party manufacturers?

Hello community, I just had a conversation with a larger customer who asked if there is also the possibility to create a kind of "monitoring" view in the dashboard of Meraki. Similar to PRTG or MRTG, where important interfaces and devices are displayed in e.g. tiles. The whole thing is then also displayed on large screens in the NOC. Similar to the Meraki Vision Portal. Do you follow me? 🙂 At the moment I need another software/ service for something like this, would be really great if Meraki could do something like this, because the data is all there. Best regards Marcel

I just use an ATS like this: https://www.apc.com/us/en/product/AP4421A/apc-netshelter-rack-automatic-transfer-switch-1u-10a-230v-c14-in-12-c13-out-50-60hz/?parent-subcategory-id=88952&range=61810-rackmount-transfer-switches&selected-node-id=27602440314

Very well 🙂 It's only the total "power-Pool" that is about 370W instead of 740W. The AP44 advertises 30W I mean and tooks about ~10W in real, in most of my networks.

I can partially agree with you there. Maybe Meraki will manage to suppress flapping for wireless clients when an MR is connected to a port. With a WLAN bridge, the information is again very helpful ;=) Then I will include it in our documentation for now. Thank you so much 🙂

So guys, seriously, how am I supposed to analyze a log where most of it is a cosmetic error? Is there by chance a Meraki employee who can bring this to the development? To build a filter for this is possible via the API, but who wants that? Does no one else have this problem? 🙂

As I have read in some posts there is a "problem" with Meraki MS and WLAN clients roaming from one AP to another. A customer asked me about this. Even if this is only cosmetic, should it stay like this or is there something wrong configured? For example, I see that a Samsung cell phone is supposed to report on 3 ports, but here MR APs are connected. Possibly a problem with the internal timers? I am grateful for any support.

after a long time of back and forth, I prefer to think about using an MR70. I had not thought about the UV radiation, good hint 🙂

I have a question for you about a home-lab installation. does anyone have any experience with an MR18 outside? of course protected from the rain under a canopy, I would also insulate the connectors. According to the data sheet go only to 0 degrees, what would be at -10degrees? Someone has an experience? Since it is only lab, a real outdoor AP is not really worth it. ...or Meraki can donate me an AP here? 😎

And again another project to get rich of the lacking IT workforce in the todays world. Also the customers needs a full remote managed and monitored network solution. The classic Catalyst solutions are still rocksolid but the lack the monitoring and easability in the daily doing. Meraki is still not as powerfull as the Catalyst solution, but this is not a fair comparison. The challenge we met was to re engineer the current network at all (admin is gone) and make a playbook to smooth migrate from the old to the new world. So we need to install the new gear in parallel. The MRs are still a to do because of missing inhouse cabling. We used 2x MS225-48 / 7x MS210-48LP (4 stacked), 18x MR44 and 1xMT/MT20. Because the MX lacks some features we used a Sophos XGS instead of MX. Work is still under progress, if you want to see more pictures let me know.
