Rather unusual question, but the customer cleaned up a bit too much, and threw away the mounting bracket for the MG41E. We need this to install it to an outside wall. I contacted Cisco support and our usual distributor for a replacement part. It does not exist ! I tried an after market search on the internet to no avail. 3D printing options not available to my knowledge. Can anyone tell me if there other options ? Are these brackets the same for other MG models ? Does anyone know where I can find one after market ?

The CPE of the main ISP only allows for a single uplink. So I had to go through a switch port to set this as there is a spare MX too. Setting failover mode to Immediate doesn't help at all, I tested that.

I guess I didn't take enough time. My bad for not reading the documents thoroughly enough. I do think up to 300 seconds is way too long to detect a soft failure, as compared to a hard failure.

I have dual MX86 with 2 IPs and a MG41 as back-up. MX are configured to use port 3 as backup WAN port. WAN1 is with fiber, has it's own fixed IP address for MX1. same for MX2. they have a virtual IP to share amongst them. WAN2 is with DSL, sitting behind a DSL router. fixed ip for MX1, same for MX2. they have a virtual IP to share amongst them. WAN3 is MG41E, hands out IP addresses to connect MX. no virtual IP. spare MX is also configured ISP1 has it's own VLAN, ISP2 has it's own VLAN, MG41ED has it's own VLAN. there are no direct cables between the ISP CPE and the Meraki MX. they all go through the MS switches. prior to today, when only WAN2 and WAN3 were connected, every time when I would unplug cable on the MX or CPE side, the failover would kick it. today, when adding WAN1, I notice the following - unplug cable on ISP1 CPE side: no failover - unplug cable on ISP2 CPE side: no failover - unplug WAN1 cable on primary MX side: failover to WAN2 - unplug WAN2 cable on primary MX side: failover to WAN1 Why is it not failing over when the CPE equipment is no longer reachable ? what am i doing wrong ?

I need advice on following scenario: full Meraki network. I have an SSID for Office users, one for Guest. I also have some IOT devices (warehouse scanners that only need to talk to a cloud service), but I don't want to create a separate SSID just for them. The Guest SSID can't be used because of the splash page (unless there is a way to circumvent that). So next logical step would be having them connect to the office SSID, putting them in their own little VLAN, and isolate them from the rest of the office network. I created a VLAN, Group Policy, etc. and assigned it. In the group policy I blocked all traffic to RFC1918 networks. The following happens: because there is no local DNS server, the MX is proxy-ing DNS requests. This works fine for other internal VLANs (wired, office wireless). But in this case, I guess because of the RFC1918 deny rule, it won't even ping the default gateway. Am I correct in assuming this is how it is supposed to work ? I thought the default gateway was always available ?

I can see which Port Profile has been applied, that's not the problem. In fact, everything works. I only find it "logical" that when first applying a PortProfile manually, and then later applying one through an automation, and it would apply because of the triggers in that automation, the latter would be visible on the switch. But that's not the case. If there is a way to "undo" the previous manual port profile, and then have the Automation take over, that would be helpful too. I'm also confused as to why there is a check button next to Port Profile Enabled... If I disable that, would it disable Port Profiles altogether, or just the manual ones ?

I'm only learning about SmartPorts automation now. Tested a few things recently. Is it possible that when first manually setting a SmartPorts profile on a port, and then later using an automation to do this automatically on the whole switch, it is not visibile in the dashboard ? This is a port that was manually done first This is a port that was done using the automation Should the automation not override the previous manually set Smartports config (if applicable on that port) ? Is there a way to remove the this SmartPorts config so that it gets corrected by the automation ? Switches are MS-130X
