It is primarily about the RADIUS feature via the AltMgmt interface. Support has confirmed that there is a problem here and there is currently no fix. The problem is that the requests to the RADIUS are sent via the "normal" and not the "alternative" interface.

Hello everyone, does anyone here know anything about the function of the AltMgt interfaces in the firmware >MR30.x ? The support knows that it does not work, supposedly they are working on a fix.....but for almost a year now. The whole issue is slowly becoming a show stopper.

Tested it again. It is a global setting, even if it says something with SSID that makes me think of WLAN. The problem is the MX firmware MX 18.208, with which there seem to be problems when sending requests from the MX clients via LAN, funnily enough WLAN works - there is no response from the Umbrella DNS servers. Thanks for everything, now I'm smarter again

Hi everyone, I have a question for you about the Umbrella integration in Meraki. Is the point on the following screenshot a global setting for all subnets on the MX or does it only refer to MX's with integrated WLAN? The setting is under MX > Threat Protection at the bottom. If I want to configure something specifically for subnets or clients, I would do this via the Group Policies, right?

ah okay, I just saw that too, so you have to take a closer look. it's a bit confusing. It looks like this for me: (1) shows the name of the ADmin who opened the case, even though I created a post. My name is at the bottom under (2). Maybe as an improvement that (1) also shows the admin who is currently writing something. For now, Happ new year 🙂

Hello, UBNT Unify just drops a cool feature that might helps in onsite support for switching. Watch this and please leave a comment what do you think about this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sdSa8BtgZqU I found this is such a cool feature to tag ports (client, server, ap, etc.) instead of using different colored cables or show the port-status. Unify made it more funny tool, but I think this features has potential.

Support says that it worked as intended. It's funny that everyone we showed the feature to didn't understand why it was displayed like this. the fact is, everything is correct in the port details, it's only in the "switchports" dashboard that it's wrong for me. Who cares about the "original" VLAN, we want to see the configured and active VLAN! Likewise, if I remove a port profile, it is still displayed. The only workaround is to create a profile with the name "-". I have marked this in orange. The feature itself is great, if it weren't for these two details.

Hi community, just a simple question out to you: Does anyone uses port-profiles for MS in a productive environment? I just gave the feature a new try in brown-field deployment and it really sucks. The buggy UI integration shows the "original"-port configuration in somewhat kind that it is really confusing for support to find out which VLAN is in use. This feature has such a great potential, but at the moment it's not my best friend. What do you think?

Just playing and found some issues: 1. The Summary page, where a symbolic picture of the MX shows up, says that the Internet1 Port ist disabled? Thats not correct. 2. The release note says more performance but the only thing I could recognize is that the CPU utilization under the "Summary Report" shows 99%? There not so much traffic ongoing - mhhhh.....strange performance enhancement 🙂

It is pictures like these, here just a small IDF, that trigger the horror in me and make me deeply sad on the other side. When the customer says I have VLANs, but it looks more like PLANs (physical...) :D. I said: The coding with the cable colors is yes well solved. Customer: Coding? Um, those were the cables we had at hand. Me: Uffff.... And so on :). I hope one or the other of you knows something like that 😉

I had the same feeling that the MS125 will not be replaced. I had from our Meraki team once a lineup, what is the difference in the MS210/225 compared to the 1xx series. but here I just heard in the last meeting that many features such as DAI should also migrate to the MS130. Also that with the rugged switches is great. Good work Meraki, that pleases our customers;)

Thank you :). This was the place is was suprised about the silient drop of the product :). Since the MS120/125 is different from MS210/225, is the MS130 near the featureset of the MS210 or could you tell me the key differences? At the first look I only miss the stacking feature.
