There’s so many out there to choose from. We use Draytek, Netgear and Netcomm devices, all of them have models that can run in bridge mode, just make sure they’re NBN FTTN (VDSL) compatible, and you’ll likely need to update to the latest firmware. The Telstra device you had almost certainty had Telstra specific firmware on it, but it’s worth seeing if there are instructions on the internet on how to flash new firmware to it, I’ve done that to a few Optus devices in my time. ... That was it!   So for anyone else stumbling on this post what I had to do was configure the Remote ID field the same as the Public IP field of the peer on the MX68. Once I did that and all the other settings were matching the tunnel came up instantly and I was able to pass traffic.  ... View more

I have reported this same problem to Meraki support a few weeks ago. No progress and I am not expecting one. It is not easy for them to troubleshooting, but it makes no sense that this many users are reporting it. I am seeing it on all our Meraki networks in deferent GEO location, on different WAN links, using RADIUS/802.1X authentication. RADIUS servers are in the Data Centre. Problem is very intermittent, so not easy to capture. I could see  that Meraki AP is not getting RADIUS response when the Wi-Fi starts dropping. I also see affected SSID showing as low signal from the laptop while being away from it 3 meters while all other broadcasted SSID are full signal. Not sure if I need to indicate that we are seeing this on different Meraki models and firmware, updates didn't fix a thing. ... View more

@cmr you are correct in that Meraki switches will physically accept standard QSFP transceivers in the rear stacking ports (since mechanically that’s all they are), but my understanding is it’s not supported, and in most cases won’t work - you’re pretty much restricted to the cables Meraki specify as ‘stacking cables’. With the Flexible Stacking on the MS425, Meraki fully support all the transceivers supported in the MS425 for stacking, so you can do long distance stacking if you want.   I’ve never tried to long distance stack anything other than a MS425 (which works fine), and above is consistently what I’ve been told by our local Meraki CSE team. ... @misterguitar,   The VLAN setting in the switch -> switch settings screen is the default for all switches. Then you can input it again per switch which gives the option to override it per switch if you wanted.   However if your upstream VLAN tagging in your uplink trunk you should not have gotten the warning when you only changed the VLAN setting on the switch itself. ... If you are using them together as an HA pair, then you only need 1 license. If you are using them separately, then you will need a license per appliance. If you are using them in an HA pair, then like @MarcP said, they have to be the same model. 2xMX84, 2xMX100, 2xMX67W, etc..
