Static DHCP reservations will be maintained. I don't think that dynamic DHCP will be. Expect that to be lost. Something that catches a lot of people out is the MS250 only has 10Gbe SFP+ ports. So if you want to plug in a copper circuit make sure you get a copper SFP.

Tried it with PHP, but trying to Validate the URL from the dashboard its giving the below error: Did not match validator: http://subdomain.mydomain.com/scanner.php Am i doing something wrong.? Below is the PHP code i am using to validate it through GET request. if(strcasecmp($_SERVER['REQUEST_METHOD'], 'GET') == 0) { $q = new Queries(); $data_array = array('status_text' => "Data returned with validator key: $validator", 'rtype' => $_SERVER['REQUEST_METHOD']); $q->save_scan_data($data_array); return $validator; } When clicking to validate from dashboard, get request coming to my server as scan log is saving at back-end. Just have a look and let me know if you have any idea in it. Thanks

Don't worry, I'm a CCNA Wifi. Network design is not the issue here. I tested with Cisco light and wlc managed APs of my lab and this thread is just to avoid loosing the Z. I would keep it only as a Nat device but due to the bandwidth issue and this Non standard AP posture, I'm dropping it definitely.

Sounds like browser issue maybe? I seem to recall having a similar issue before where static IP info I put in and saved didn't take and I had go apply it again.

You're welcome. No, as @Borisorism said. The SSIDs defined in MX's are completely separate from the SSIDs configured on the MR.

Hello, I agree with that as well. It was difficult for me because when you're not on site, the local IT may not tells exactly what he is doing ! I'm away, so no choice but trust him. Next time I'll handle that myself. Many thanks guys for your help and the time you spend.

Parts of the Meraki OS are open source, and parts are not. You can, for example, request the bootloader used in many Meraki devices and Meraki will provide that to you. I'm not aware of a website though where you can just grab this (it's by request only). If there is a site that hosts Meraki firmware for you to download it's not hosted by Meraki, and I doubt very much it's sanctioned. It'd also be mostly useless as there's no (official) way for you to load that firmware on a Meraki device as they only take firmware updates from the cloud.

Who has been using Meraki products the longest? I install my first Meraki APs, before Cisco took over. 2012 -Meraki only labels.

I had Chrome changing the SSID password if I ever opened the Wireless / Access Control page. The edit box must have been labeled "password" in the HTML code, because it kept putting in my Meraki password. I raised a support ticket to have then change the name of the edit box, and the problem has stopped occuring sometime after that. When the problem was occuring, the site warned me that I had changes that needed to be saved every time I opened the page.

MDM owners are often only used to denote the owner, but can optionally be used for authentication in the MDM environment as well. >Is there a reason those dB's are separate? Because I see a big potential for overlapping users without the option to share users between those dB's. The Organization/Network administrators tend to be static. The guest users tend to turn over much quicker. You could always use something external like Active Directory if you like.

You're welcome. For the regular API's the documentation is the postman collection: postman.meraki.com For the Python library, I didn't see decent documentation that would have mentioned this. But I came to the correct code by looking at both what the API expects and what was in the source code of the python library. Then just testing. Unfortunately the errors aren't always very explanatory.

On the MX, I changed the native VLAN from 2 to "drop untagged traffic", didn't change anything on the switch side. I'm getting the correct VLAN now.
