As a means of testing whether its a cable fault can you simply connect one of the devices on an affected port using a long patch lead instead of your exsiting cabling and see if the fault goes away?

While the marketing material does refer to them as uplink ports this isn't actually true as you can use any port of the switch as an uplink port. Uplink is just the defination of the port used as the connection to the next hop.

Yes SFP+ ports can be used as access ports. I have a copper SFP module installed in our MS425-32 which is used as an access port. 10Gb to a work station... What is it being used for as thats a larger large pipe for a single device..

Yes they sure can. Just because they are SFP ports does not mean they have to be used as uplink ports. You would use one of these ports if you have a server with a fibre connection rather than a copper connection.

Or backup the device to iCloud and restore the device during the setup process after you have erased it. It is possible to do it without needing a second piece of hardware.

@trunolimit you would have to restore the device during the setup process. If you restore it by just plugging it into iTunes then it wont be supervised. You need to restore it via this screen, the device gets its DEP profile installed directly after you connect it to a wireless network during the setup procedure.

I think we passed the point years ago, simply running wireless scanning software at home and I find a crazy amount of 2.4Ghz networks. I would imagine it would be a hundred times worse for those that live in apartment blocks.

Hi Mark I would think they would use Wifi if its enabled. If there is no Wifi connection but only cellular. It looks as though you can setup setting specific to cellular that might ease your concerns. https://documentation.meraki.com/SM/Monitoring_and_Reporting/Cellular_Data_Management_with_Systems_Manager

As long as you haven't selected to hide "Restore from Backup" under your DEP settings you shouldn't have any problems restoring the device from a backup.

I have seen this problem as well, trying to deploy a couple of App's and they are stuck on "install pending" With the devices you are having problems with have you tried restarting them?

What do you need CPU load for? Are you have problems with a switch? If so contact support and they can look at this information.

I to am interested in this, we currently have PRTG deployed on our largest network as well as intermapper however having Meraki Data would be very useful especially to see throughput on MX devices. Also the excuse to have another TV in my office.

We mainly use Meraki SFP modules but have a couple of Cisco SFP modules and a couple of Allied Telesis SFP+ modules. Be aware that Meraki won't offer support if your problem relates to a 3rd party receiver.

I am assuming its moving from being stable release candidate to a fully stable release. There is probably a timeframe on which is has to be out in the wild before its deemed a fully stable release.

@jared_f is right Apple make it pretty clear that if the certificate expires then the only option is to create a new one. Apple do send multiple warnings before it expires. I suggest if you use a generic account for your cert thats not monitored you at least forward it to a monitored account. Good luck with getting a resolution.

@Adam not really. Its a shame that Meraki is behind its competitors in this regard. My workplace has invested heavily in Meraki and we are having to use a different brand because of the limitations in L3 ACL. Its a shame really.

Hi Everyone I have been away for a few months but finally back into it. I WAS looking at setting up L3 routing on our MS425-32 however I feel Meraki is really lagging behind its competitors when it comes to L3 ACL's 1. Why does something as powerful as a MS425 only support 128 ACL's........ 2. Why can you not setup port ranges in an ACL, you can only specify single ports. This means for a large network with multiple subnets cannot really use L3 routing on a Meraki switch as they are likely to hit the ACL limit. This is really poor development. I will push my sales rep on this as its rather disappointing. Hope everyone is well and looking forward to the weekend

Odd, I have done exactly the same setup with a firewall rather than a switch and it worked just using port 9191. Thanks for your help but we might just go down the firewall avenue. As ACL doesn't support adding in ranges and a ton of our services use a range of ports I'd rather not have to add in a rule for every single port. Thanks again for your help.

Setting the dest port to any works. The software is PaperCut and I am accessing the server via a webrowser with the URL http://192.168.1.5:9191 I tried creating another rule for 9192 which is their HTTPS port but this didnt work either.
