Monitoring application by IP address

Is it possible to monitor an web application with an IP address, instead of domain name?

I have  sensors that generate report and send the data to the provider's collector in the cloud. I got the dest IP/port80 and want to run the usual response time. When I tried to add the app, I don't find the option to add the IP.

I've done that (a while ago now).  I think I just specified the URL like normal, but put an IP address where you would normally put the FQDN.

I was following the Meraki documentation where I first made a mistake but now it saw my error and fixed it!

So if you know the IP of the host you wish to track.

Go into Organization -> Settings and NOT Network -> General, that was my mistake btw 😛

There you need to add a custom PIE chart.
There you fill in the desired name of the application and choose IP range.... and then fill in just the IP of the host.

Once that is saved you will find the application under custom in the add webapp dialog.
