hello @Networker80 I guess you're a bit late to the game... Meraki Go End of Sale - April 2025 - The Meraki Community I doubt they will invest any resources on new features and such.

Setting a shorter lease time is good if you are on a border of an ip range and don’t want to open more ip avail addresses. The less avail ips you have the tighter your security. for example …./26 sub mask is 61 available addresses and and /27 is 29 avail addresses. lets say you have 22 always active ip addresses and 10 roaming ip addresses of which 5 to 7 are onsite at any given time. having a short ip address lease would there for be good if folks are in and out all day and the ip’s on their phones and laptops could be released after 2 hours instead of 24.

Greetings @CHaywood
@jesseb514 nailed it. If the DNS queries are encrypted, the security service is unable to see what the query is and take action based on the query.

Hey @speakerfritz and @jesseb514
We apologize for this experience. It is clearly not the intended outcome we want. I'll review the cases in question and be sure we're doing all we can to solve this problem long term.
Contacting support is almost always the right play when facing umbrella license issues for the GX product. If we cannot see the key, we can also verify if the key you have is legitimate or not.

Thanks for your work on this @hidden0! I appear to see an Online/Active status now in the web app. I'm not sure if it's by chance or not. Is there a way to check versioning in the web app?

Hello @TobiasFrank ,
This is definitely not working as intended here, then. I'll get a ticket submitted for our developers to fix this issue.
The console log for ap.meraki.com is testing if we can reach the local status page of the device (we use this to provide a button that takes you to the LSP). The 500 error, though, is more interesting and may be related to the issue. The "network" tab may show the offending request that was made and help us dive a bit deeper.
There are still two methods that should be available to contact support:
1. Use the settings menu directly to open a case, and not the "Contact support" button in the troubleshooting flow.
2. Try using the mobile app both the way you've described to reproduce the issue, but also using the settings menu directly.
If you still face problems opening a case using these steps, let me know so we can take a peek and hopefully fix whatever issue it is you are bumping into.

Glad to hear that, @speakerfritz! It really does make a big difference, and I'm glad we were able to make the media server connection a bit faster by getting the information to you.
I'll actually bring up the antenna orientation issue with our team. That does make planning your wireless environment more contingent on the dominant band used by client devices.
We'll have an image similar to what you've posted in our documentation before long.

Update: This issue is now resolved. Cause: Unknown Solution: Create a new site Details: After many days of back and forth email correspondence with Meraki support, they finally asked that I create a new site and try adding the hardware on that new site within the app. While that was the solution, they could not tell me what the issue is with that original site. To be honest, I feel slightly dumb for not trying that myself. I did try to create a new company as suggested here but it appears that once you register hardware to a company, it’s forever locked to that company and cannot be used elsewhere. You cannot even request that hardware to be removed from the prior company even if you own both the company and hardware. Trust me, I tried. I asked them probably close to a dozen times for them to remove the hardware configuration from my site as I believe the issue is a corrupt configuration that gets pulled down every time the devices connected to the internet. They avoided the request every time. This theory is further proven by the fact that a new site fixed the issue. My guess is that regardless of the hardware serial number or mac address, each site has its own configuration of the hardware stored. This also means that performing a factory reset and the existence of a factory reset button is for comical relief. One thing that they did say was that my case was very unique. I have to admit, this was one of the worst customer support experiences I’ve had in tech with a vendor. I tried my best to stay professional this whole ordeal but between their tier 1 troubleshooting and sub tier 1 communication skills, I cannot recommend this product to any small business let alone a consumer of any kind. I had more productive support from this community than their actual support. I get that this is not subscription level networking equipment but I feel better support is required when the product does not function at all, the issue lies behind their servers and the hardware is software locked to your company thus preventing resale… In summary, I’d like to thank everyone in this community for their help. I’m glad this issue is finally resolved but I fear the next time something goes wrong that requires support.

@hidden0I very much appreciate you bringing that up in your design meeting. I feel that would be a very important feature to implement or else you would probably end up having to redo a lot of your rules if you implemented some down the road that should be at the top instead of at the bottom. I thought that might be the case, but didn't try creating the rules and then restarting the GX. I just recreated my additional rules and restarted the GX and now everything seems to be working as it should. I can ping 192.168.20.2 from both VLAN10 and VLAN30 I can ping 192.168.10.46 from both VLAN20 and VLAN30 I can ping 192.168.10.18 from VLAN30 I cannot ping any other devices on VLAN10 or VLAN20 from VLAN30 I cannot ping any other devices on VLAN10 or VLAN30 from VLAN20 Here are the additional rules I put in place before restarting the GX: Deny Work to Main deny any From 192.168.30.0/24 to 192.168.10.0/24 Deny Work to IoT deny any From 192.168.30.0/24 to 192.168.20.0/24 Deny IoT to Main deny any From 192.168.20.0/24 to 192.168.10.0/24 Deny IoT to Work deny any From 192.168.20.0/24 to 192.168.30.0/24 So I think we are good to go for now and I appreciate the clarification.

Thanks for the help @Roel_NL and @Xydocq !
@Bloom
The firmware mis-match is informational and indicates that the firmware set for the site is different from that which is actually running on the hardware. Support is the best path to learn more about why this is happening and how to fix it.
We're working on better firmware upgrade control that would allow you to solve this on your own.

Hello @S_D ,
The infrastructure breakdown works as follows:
You can manage any number of Meraki Go Companies with a single email address / user account.
Each Meraki Go Company can manage up to 5 independent sites.
Each site can handle up to 50 Meraki Go hardware devices (GX/GS/GR).
The MSP can manage any number of Companies, and each Company can manage up to 5 sites.
These limitations are removed when upgrading to our Meraki Enterprise experience.
The Meraki Go MSP will, when logging in, be shown a list of Meraki Go Companies their email address is listed as an administrator with.
Further, you can easily create a new company from the web-app settings menu by clicking 'Create Company", which stands up a new and empty company with the currently logged in account.

One thing that might help explain my situation better is I’m using an arris sb8200 which is strictly a modem and not a modem router combo. It essentially has zero configurability besides me setting the admin password.

Hello @TRHH,
We haven't formally tested any AOC cables on the GS110 series switches. The SFP Fiber Transceivers tested with the GS110 series can be found here: https://documentation.meraki.com/Go/Meraki_Go_Accessories/Meraki_Go_Switch_SFP_Overview
These are the Meraki branded SFPs. However, that is not to say other SFP transceivers or mediums would not function (we just don't support them). Your mileage may vary, but so long as the transceiver follows protocol I don't see why it wouldn't work, but I cannot guarantee it'll go as planned.

Hi @questionyibit , We apologize for the reset loop - there was a known issue with the password reset email not generating the proper redirect and this is now resolved as of yesterday evening. You should be able to reset your password now, but if not shoot us an email at help@meraki-go.com and we'll do our best to get you sorted out promptly.
