RAV1   are you going to connect AP directly to the firewall?   I initially did that and had warning messages related to the AP having the FW internet port address.   so I switched the AP's from bridge mode, the default, to NAT mode.   that fixed the warning messages....but...since I have 2 APs, the LAN was behaving like two networks due to the APs now providing DHCP.   so, I bought the switch, put the APs back into bridge mode and no more warnings and the LAN behaved as 1 LAN.     ... thanks for the comments UARiT   250 thru put on the GX20 is fine for us right now.   2 folks working from home.   end to end internet speed test is 220+- and our network has never been that fast.   I moved from a netgear "super duper" gaming router that claimed 1GB through put  and worked decent....but internet speed test were never better than 150+- and the router has some known bug that requires forlks to hard reset it weekly.   no matter what firmware used.     the meraki go network setup firewall+switch+APs has been working extremely well.      I was push out of my prior network equipment that I had bought .....less than a year after buying...they went EOL/EOS and bricked all the routers.   They must have been in violation of some open source rules or something....I have never seen a router company brick their equipment  at EOL/EOS.     ... Meraki Go in 2022 - are we late to the party?

So its 2022 and Meraki Go has been out for a few years.   After buying a GX20, 2 GR10's and a GS110-8P I am now wondering how much useful life is left on this model/line before we get notified of end of life and out of support?   I recently had this happen with another brand which after they bricked the hardware....I was forced to buy replacement hardware.   Since Meraki Go has a cloud interface...its unlikely this equipment will work once EOL/EOS is announced.   Its like you have to join the party at the beginning to get  a decent return on investment.   Paid almost 500 for everything in May of 2022.....any rumors of remaining useful life on the GX20, GR10, GS110?     ... I had a version of this problem tried to use 2 ap’s as mesh gateways with the firewall.   didn’t work very well   with out a switch had to use NAT on AP’s   doable NATing turned one network into 2   bought the switch and put the APs in bridge mode   2 networks became one   all iswell     ... resolved   In the Meraki cloud management software the printer shows up as some random 8 diget host name.  In the meraki cloud software I renamed the printer to the bonjour name (the bonjur name is what the PCs look for) and I was able to turn on the mesh network and print.   I am also able to see the printer in network neighborhood.     ... Printer not reachable if network is meshed.

If I use a single AP,printer works fine.   if I use 2 APs as meshed gateways with same ssid, printer is not reachable.   Meraki go security gateway, Meraki go switch, 2 Meraki go AP’s   HP laser printer   APs are in bridge mode   1 wireless network with both APs broadcasting.   Any ideas.   right now, until I figure out the problem, I only have 1 AP broadcasting my wireless network.  Printer works if I do that.  If I broadcast from the second AP, printer not reachable.     ... solved   if AP's are plugged directly into security gateway, NAT is better if APs are plugged into a switch which is plugged into security gateyway, the default setup will be bridge mode.   so the problem was that the software setup assumed everyone would use a switch between gateway and APs .   ordering a meraki go switch so that my setup would be standardized.   ... Meraki Security subscription vs opendns home version

I have had a opendns home version account for years.   just recently purchased he  meraki security gateway and 2 meraki APs   the meraki security gateway documentation and software notes discusses the optional meraki security subscription which uses cisco umbrella (formally opendns).       the functional features of the meraki security subscription and opendns appear to be identical.   the only difference I see is that the  meraki security subscription basically integrates the management of cisco umbrella into the meraki app and website.    vs for the openDNS, you have to go to openDNS website to manage your settings and review stats on the vulnerability aspect of your settings to your network.   am I missing any other features that the meraki go security subscription provides that opendns does no provide?     ... Meraki Go Security Gateway + 2 Meraki Go Access points - un wanted multipl...

good day.   I got my Meraki Go Security Gateway + 2 Meraki Go Access points setup to work as a meshed wireless network and verified proper functionality.   I can also see end points  split being both access points...so I think its setup correctly.   negative feature...   .if I setup the access points in bridge mode, I get the wan ip on the AP external interface and I get info that the AP is on  the internet with the recommendation to use NAT.  Although the conditions of my goals match the bridge use.   if I setup the access points in NAT mode, I wind up with a second set of DHCP servers (one for each AP) and an new network IP range of 10.X.X.X is created.    when this happens...the security gateway has no end point info at the software console and I have to go down one level into the AP's to see client activity.   when it was in bridge mode...all the end points were visible at the firewall console software and details of use by end points was centralized.   the default install set everything up for the APs to be in bridge mode...but according t the messages and warnings....NAT mode is preferred.   so right now my security gateway external IP is a provided by ISP in the 173.X.X.X range.   my security gateway created a 192.X.X.X network on its internal interface.  My 2 APS have a 192.X.X.X IP on their WAN interface and my 2 APs are providing DHCP in the 10.x.x.x range to my wireless network.   so if I enable the 2 APs to be in bridge mode, both AP WAN interfaces show my Security gateway external IP address, and the security gateway provides DHCP to the entire wireless network, DNS is from  the gateway re-direct to openDNS, their is no 10.X.X.X network, and I can see all the end point info at the security gateway.   so its not clear to me why    1.  the default setup puts the APs in bridge mode 2.  if I do a manual change from bridge to NAT, the comments for why I should use bridge are all met 100% and the comments as to why I should use NAT are not met 100%.   in other words, based on the comments, I should be using bridge mode. 3.  but, there are some messages while in bridge mode, indicating I should be in NAT mode.  one message relates to the AP WAN interface having the ISP IP address (same as the firewall).   while in bridge mode, the APs are behaving as if they have been configured for being on the internet directly.   As I type this, I am in NAT mode.   I would be interested in any comments / opinions.           ...
