First Link is only the monitoring, not the management version. You can buy an "montoring only" version and a "management" version, this seems to be an difference in the operating system.

Hello, Can I manage Catalyst C9200 switches in Meraki Dashboard? Do I need the DNA license or the Meraki Dashboard license, or both? My dealer is not able to answer this questions. He offers me always DNA-licenses with that switches. But I want to manage (not monitor) them at Meraki Dashboard. So I think I need Meraki Dashboard licenses for this switches. The thing is: I am buying since years the Meraki MS225-48LP switches. But once in the future they will be out of service, and then I have to replace hundreds of them. So I like to use newer switches now.

They were not lucky to put the Cisco "classic" into Meraki dashboard with MS390 ....

No issues with MR32, MR33, MR34, MR36, MR42, MR42E, MR44, MR45, MR46, MR46E, MR52, MR55, MR84. Different networks with different firmware levels (most ver MR28.6) Running Dell laptops (various types and ages), iPhones, iPads, Mac-books ... (only thing: fading blue LED light at MR32, MR33, MR34)

This is not only a problem with Meraki MS4xx switches. It´s also an issue with Cisco "classic" Cat 3850 switches.

Unddevice ports should be tagged into a VLAN, the trunk ports between the switches you can allow to "all" VLANS.

Im am running Cisco 1602I, 1602E, 1702I, 2602E, 2602I, 2702I and 2802E accesspoints connected to Meraki MS225-48LP switches. The accesspoints have an own VLAN connected to an Cisco 5500 Series Wireless Controller. It´s working well. (I didn´t 2017, until a MS firmware update fixed the problem).

Updateing to MS14.33 on all my networks didn´t cause this issue. We are not working with Meraki MX but with Dell Sonicwall firewalls.

We need to install an certificate on the Apple devices. We use Cisco ISE as radius server and the rules says: must logon with an AD account and must have this certificate to get into the company´s VLAN.

@alemabrahaoThank you, we have running MR28.6 firmware on this accesspoints, also they are in sight of each other, aprox. 20m distance. A layer 3 device is the core switch but not the end user switches. this is how it should work f.e.: cashdesk (VLAN x) -- -- MS120 sw. -- MR84 --- bridge over the air --- MR84 -- MS120 sw.--core telephone (VLAN y) -- Connections between MR´s and MS are trunk.

We need for an funfair park WLAN bridges to transport more than one VLAN to different attractions. Till now we have old Cisco "classic" accesspoints which can do that. But they are old and I try to buy only Meraki to have everything from one company. I read that this should be possible with Meraki since a while. Is there anybody with experiences in ths kind of networking? thank you

MS390 is an really beta device. look at the firmware changelog how many issues are still in work for the MS390. We are using the MS225-48LP for standard device areas. 1Gig to the clients, 10 Gig uplinks, stackable, PoE for phones and accesspoints.

Wo do it the same way. Or we use an existing Meraki switch, configuring an own VLAN to the three ports: ISP, MX1 and MX2, it´s working like an small switch, but the advantage is: it´s managed.
