@TheAlchemist you cannot stop any internet traffic hitting your MX from the WAN side unless you use a cloud/ISP proxy or firewall. Anyone in the world can try to send traffic to you. Is your public IP one you have had for a while, or a new one?

Configuration is stored locally so devices can continue to run. For something like the event log, it will be written locally until cloud connectivity is restored. https://documentation.meraki.com/General_Administration/Cross-Platform_Content/Meraki_Event_Log As for the local storage capacity and timeframe of storing local data, as far as I'm aware it's not publicly documented.

@Brash @alemabrahao It worked without any issues. I just connected my switch to cisco 2960, after few minutes the switch was up and visible in Meraki dashboard. Thank you both of you.

got it working i was using the dedicated port on the back . once i started using one of the switchports on the front it worked.

It is totally unacceptable. That + the fact that there are 0 logs. Port cycle wasn't available to RO users in the past ( but a cable test will do exactly the same thing so... )

There's nothing that is required to be done prior to the power loss. The only thing I would suggest is to ensure that the device configuration is "safe" - meaning there's been at least 30 minutes of stable connectivity to the cloud since last configuration change. +1 I believe it's supported/implemented but not documented. That being said, there's at least one instance in the community where a crossover cable was required between and MX WAN port and the ISP device - Solved: MX64 Internet port link drops at 100/full (okay on auto / auto) - The Meraki Community. However, it seems likely that it was the ISP device that didn't support auto MDI.

The Windows #1 reason I run into is Windows Firewall on the machines in the LAN you are trying to access. Try turning off the Windows firewall temporarily (on the LAN connected machine) to see if it resolves the issue. Is the client VPN machine running Windows? Are you trying to ping devices on the LAN by IP address?

There's no way you can really confirm whether the devices are flooding maliciously or not without tracking them down. It could be anything from poorly designed IOT devices to bad drivers, or someone attempting a malicious attack. Do you have any AP's on the same network or broadcasting the same SSID that are not part of this Meraki dashboard? Is it always the same AP that's detecting it? If so, could be worth giving it a reboot. What type of authentication are you using? Do you have 802.11r and 802.11w enabled? If yes you can try disabling It.

You are right about the grace period, you have 30 days left. For the license ... no, it is not valid for a vMX because it is for the ... MX100. That leads to the question why you ordered it if you don't have one? By mistake? If the licenses is new, you can let it refund. About applying the licenses ... I wonder why you got three licenses. To extend the license duration of the organisation, you need to apply one license with all what is needed in one license. But if you have your dashboard license expired anyhow, you could add the first license with "Renew my Dashboard license" which resets the inventory devices to the device of the first license. After that you add the other licenses with "License more devices" and you are all good. And for you next renewal interval, come back and ask how to handle all of this before ordering the licenses. I don't believe there's any plans for this. As per the cloud architecture doc, the recommendation is to use different orgs for globally dispersed networks. "For customers with globally dispersed networks, separate organizations should be created for each data storage region (N. and S. America, Europe, Asia, and China). @Ruch_D the Meraki switches are no less secure than traditional Cisco Catalyst or HPE switching etc. What @GreenMan is alluding to is that using a switch specifically designed for high throughput with stateful inspection to segment datacentre traffic is the best option. If you are comparing a Meraki MS350 to a Cisco 9300 or equivalent then they are no less secure.

Iperf3.1.3 in terminal direct to provider’s servers. (Breezeline, old miami Atlantic broadband). I’m still fiddling so we see what I find out. It’s probably something simple, but no log changes have been made to the threat center setting since end of 2021. It’s also happening at another Propery in network on the organization that also has an MX-85. I have some unopened spare MX-85’s that I’ll probably swap in with it’s default configuration out of the box. And we see what happens. Then I’ll do a line by line compare of configuration if indeed the out of box one is back running 950+
