This doc has the steps to enable it in the dashboard. https://documentation.meraki.com/MX/Client_VPN/Client_VPN_Overview There's multiple ways to configure auth including Meraki Dashboard users or RADIUS.

Meraki offers a free inbuilt client VPN using L2TP. It's not as stable or feature rich as Anyconnect but may suit your purposes https://documentation.meraki.com/MX/Client_VPN/Client_VPN_OS_Configuration

Routing an Internet destined IP address across the SD-WAN tunnel isn't typically supported unless your MX is a one-armed concentrator. If it's a requirement but rarely used, it might be easier to have the Singapore users VPN to the US site when needed. Check out this thread for some other options too but there's no real 'good' option for this scenario. Yes it does, with the following limitation. The Meraki MS120 and MS125 series switches do not support Dashboard-based packet captures on network ports connected to other Meraki MS switches within the same Dashboard Network https://documentation.meraki.com/General_Administration/Cross-Platform_Content/Packet_Capture_Overview#MS_-_Switches

I've not used Meraki SM much but I'm fairly sure what you're looking for is not a feature. You would need to implement a 3rd party solution.

Without the use of a radius server for something like MAC based access control, you could change the SSID to place users into a guest or black holed vlan, or assign firewall rules that prevent network access. You could then manually apply a group policy to the Sonos speakers that overrides the firewall rules or places them into the correct vlan.

Is there any trigger from the client side? For example is it seen only after the computer is woken from sleep (or low power mode), or when it's disconnected and reconnected to network?

Good to hear the positive feedback and I hope this thread makes its way through to the support teams. All too often support will hear negative feedback, or no feedback at all. I've not had to open any urgent cases so far but all the cases I have opened have been handled with solid technical knowledge and professionalism.

Late to the party on this. When looking into this myself I found that the free courses gave so little CE credits that it was hard to justify the work required to build up enough. I opted to wait for the Black Friday sales (Cisco learning seems to do one every year) and purchased SCORv1 and DEVCORv1. Not what I would consider cheap but they were relatively quick to complete.

Are both devices within the same site/network? If so, I'm not quite sure why you would want to do this as opposed to just l3 routing. If not, you'll need to port forward the appropriate IPsec ports on the internet facing device to the private IP of the non Meraki peer.

There's no explicit compatibility table for mixing AP.'s, just general best practices. As they're both 802.1ax AP's, you should be fairly save mixing them in the same environment.

"I think it's important to sometimes just pull the plug and focus on yourself and your family and cherish it" Wise words. Can't agree with this more. Thanks for sharing mate. Always nice to get to know the person behind the avatar. 🙂

@ww is spot on. The core switch can't have a management IP that it itself is the default gateway of.

I personally think the MS120-8's will do the job fine but I guess you really won't know for sure unless you setup an assembly area as a pilot.

I've never personally tried it but I don't see why you couldn't configure both options in access control settings for the SSID. - WPA2-psk (pre-shared key) - Click through splash page That would require a password to log on to the wifi and then the user must acknowledge a consent page before being able to use the service.

Looks like there isn't an API call that directly gives that information. However a user in the following thread had an interesting workaround https://community.meraki.com/t5/Developers-APIs/API-call-for-MX-warm-spare-status/m-p/119941

I typically don't set new years resolutions but last year I re-certed my CCIE which was a big tick off the list. Certification wise this year I've got ECMS 500-220 in my sights. Stretch goal is either CCNP of a different track or potentially an Azure exam given I've been doing a bit of that these days.

Just to add to this, I'd probably steer clear of using MFA for wifi auth. It can be a frustrating experience for users, and from what I've heard it can be a pain when roaming or at wifi signal boundaries.

You make the change in the Meraki dashboard under Wireless -> Access Control. Select the SSID you want to make the change to and look for "Advanced RADIUS settings" One other thing to be aware of is that the RADIUS server also has a timeout of how long to wait for the MFA response. Azure MFA with NPS - 20 seconds timeout extension - Microsoft Q&A

If you open the left hand menu, you'll find all of the community pages. A lot of what you are looking for can be found under "News & Announcements". Security vulnerabilities are sometimes listed here (https://meraki.cisco.com/blog/cisco-meraki-customer-advisories/) but for the most part are found with the other Cisco advisories
