@Noah_Salzman would it be possible that the cause is about the "cached" datas ? and maybe try to clear them ?

Hi, 1) yes created it just before my post - 04246876 2) i did à full ASM and DEP sync on the Overview page as well as from the Education profile itself. Also tried to remove the education payload from the profile and recreate it then sync it again but same result — FYI, as soon as I checked the ASM sync option data appeared as if my datas were cached. 3) it’s happening since the back to school period We have a little less than 2000 iPads 4) yes depending of the device/user I guess. Just seen an ID “67” on a student’s iPad

hi, Huge issue updating our ASM populated Education Profile for Apple Classroom this year random symptoms. my own iPad ( which i use as a instructor ) receives that error message when trying to sync profiles : Error: A group with the beacon ID “2” already exists Everything seems fine on ASM side, no errors uploading. accounts and classes are well designed. tried to remove the whole profile and redo it again but same problem

Just FYI on point number 3 I also had created a ticket about this and i received multiple answers : support first told me that clicking on the bypass button would clear DEP but not user-initiated iCloud activation Lock. then in a second comment they say the bypass button sends the two sets of codes and then Apple decides between the two.. like russian roulette.... i'm on the phone so i asked the guy to put that in writing in my ticket but that's their conclusion. ticket number is 03855425 btw

1) yes it is, thank you 2) it did and i opened a ticket but since an hour or two it now shows success. It seems that success/failure status is only about sending the command, not if it worked or not..

from what i understand, if the device is DEP, user based activation is overriden... so if you need to bypass/clear DEP activation lock, you will also clear the user personal icloud's activation lock ( find my device ). also means if it's stolen you're screwed, no more protection against it.... @Kevin_C can you confirm please ?

in my case between AC preparation then ASM and Meraki it's all instantaneous. do you download SM app or you push it with dashboard

in ASM/ABM - yes you have to move from added by AC to your MDM server but if in Dashboard you set a profile by default you don't have to do anything, it will auto assign your profile ( that's what it does for me now ( it didn't work originally but got resolved by support ) ) so to check - prepare an ipad with AC - move it from added by ac to your mdm server - then make sure in dashboard's dep section that your device is indeed assigned, then it should work

If you set a profile by default on DEP dashboard section you don't even need to worry about going back there after "preparing' an ipad with AC.

Hi, just to let you know that i just made a wish for adding a new command invoking the Unenroll button, to the Device list's command menu, that would allow us to mass unenroll devices directly from Dashboard. i created a ticket but got closed right away because "Support cannot add this, period"...

So just to recap : before this ASM/ABM cloud based activation lock was brutally implemented, device based activation lock was possible, but now we HAVE to disable both in order to get rid of this "new feature" right ? Also, use case : i work in a school, we will have to "unenroll" 300+ iPads ( without erasing them ) how will i be able to mass "disable activation lock", ?

in my case even with a default profile, nothing get applied to new DEP devices.. also, when manually applying the profile, the UI doesn't refresh automatically anymore, so it remains "emtpy" instead of "pushed"

"Remove" just removed the device from the client list... this one adds profile removal.

hi, i already read the description. i need to know what "unenroll" means, is it just about deleting the client. i don't think that would release it from DEP but i need to make sure.
