It's a problem I've experienced from time to time. If the iPhone is deleted from the Device list in the Supervised state, but the device still has an MDM profile, and it is not possible to restore cause restriction settings. Enter your network id to enroll this device at enroll.meraki.com. After that, you will be able to see this device on the device list and it will be worked as supervised status. If you apply the appropriate tag, the device will go back into management, so you can delete the SM settings from the device first and finally delete them from the device list.

I have a problem right now, just like Blake. On CCW, HW and LIC are recorded to have been shipped on January 14th, but I have not received the shipment notification mail. and the LIC is already marked 'Delivered on'. Even if I check the 'Ship set', can only check the invoice number and I can't check the shipping information.

Hi. After a certain period of time after enrollment, it is possible to monitor the status of connected status, CPU, memory, etc. normally. Did you just install the agent and not install the profile? Please refer to the following link for the profile installation method. https://documentation.meraki.com/SM/Device_Enrollment/Windows_Enrollment If you have install the profile normally, It would be better to check the contents of the m_agent log by referring to the contents of the link below. https://documentation.meraki.com/SM/Other_Topics/Systems_Manager_Logging_and_Troubleshooting

I understand that the lock command is the same function as pressing the sleep button on the iOS device. If the log shows that the lock command push has been successful, the device's screen turns off and changes to a lock screen. To verify this, you will need to wait and see if the screen on the device does not turn off. I saw this function working before.

You can change 'Name' by selecting a device from the 'Device list'. 'Name' and 'Assigned name' will be changed. In the 'Device list', you can see the name you manage by selecting the check box as shown in the picture. If you turn off the 'allow modification of device' checkbox from 'Restrictions' and check 'keep device name up-to-date with dashboard' with the name change, you can completely manage the device's name as the administrator-specified name. Multiple device names can be changed using API. https://documentation.meraki.com/SM/Other_Topics/Renaming_Systems_Manager_Client_Devices_with_a_.csv_and_Meraki_API_using_Postman_Runner

There is a customer company that operates about 3,000 iPad devices. Even if the iOS update delay is set to 30 days or 90 days, about 4% of the devices are updated to the latest iOS version. I remember that this was an old problem and had a problem since around iOS14. Since most devices are being used outside the company, it was difficult for operators to find out under what conditions this problem occurs. The case was opened to find the cause of this problem, but Meraki SM appeared to be operating normally and could not find any special problems. Eventually, we opened this case to Apple to determine the cause of this problem. We received an answer from Apple without taking too long. Apple said the problem that the iOS update delay did not work properly is a problem with iOS and will be solved someday. Apple's answer was received after 15.2.1 was released, so this problem will continue to this day. There may be people suffering from these problems, so I share the contents.

There is an enrollment failure problem at many SM customers in Korea. We checked the problem about 3 hours ago and opened the case, and we received an answer that the problem was received about 1 hour before the case was opened. All iOS devices appear offline, new devices cannot be enrollment, and settings and apps cannot be distributed. In Korea, SM is used as EFB and is currently a very serious problem. What are other community users experiencing?

@Chris_McCurdy All settings are correct. iOS14 could not delete the app. This problem occurs after upgrading to iOS15. Please refer to the screenshot below. 'Removing apps not allowed' setting. Classroom apps are gone. Classroom app has not been deleted, can check it in the iPad storage and can execute it in the App Library.

In addition to the erase all settings problem below, there is one more problem after updating ios15. In the profile and App settings, 'app removal' is set to be disable, but the remove app operates on the device. Of course, the app is not deleted exactly. Like Windows' shortcut icon, the app is deleted from the home screen, but it remains in the app library and can be executed. If the app disappears from the home screen due to some users' mistake, the user may not be able to find the app. Is this a problem with iOS? Or is it a matter of SM?

I also experienced that the QR code of 7+ is especially difficult to recognize. Sometimes we can take shot the QR code visible throughout the mobile device screen. Alternatively, we used the method of printing this QR code and scanning the QR code on the paper. Why don't you print it out?

I set the iOS update delay date to 90. This setting allowed to see 'Delayed Software Update enforced' and 'Delay period of Delayed Software Updates is 90 days' in the profile of iPad. I changed this date to the 30 days, but the profile on iPad only shows 'Delayed Software Update enforced' and does not show 'Delay period of Delayed Software Updates is 30 days'. To check the problem, all dates other than 30 days were changed to 'Delay period of Delayed Software Updates is 1/15/60/90 days'. 'Delay period of Delayed Software Updates is 30 days' is not displayed only in the setting of 30 days. The delay setting of 30 days or less should enable iOS update, but the setting of 30 days indicates that the administrator has limited settings when attempting to update the user's manual iOS update. The normal iOS update screen is output when it is set to 15days or less days. This seems to be an issue when the date is set to 30 days. I opened the case to find out the cause of this problem, and it has been 2 weeks. I submitted a request to send a screenshot of the problem and sent it to the my dashboard URL, but I haven't received any solution yet. I tested using Jamf School, which is an MDM from other vendors, but I confirmed that it works exactly as I set it up. Have other community users experienced this problem?

Regardless of Meraki MDM, managed Apple IDs created by ASM have several constraints. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT205918 Perhaps the reason why Email is unavailable is because of the restrictions that iCloud Mail is disable.

Rather than answering the question, I think DEP is set up well but the setting using VPP is wrong. 1. Did you purchase Systems Manager apps and other apps from ABM and assign them to Meraki MDM? 2. Can you see the apps you bought from ABM synced to 'Systems Manager -> VPP'? 3. When adding an app on the 'Systems Manager -> Apps', did you set the puchase method as 'vpp device assignment'? If you set it up normally as above, you will not be required to itunes account when you push the app on device afterwards. Of course, users can log in using their personal itunes account, purchase and install the app.

I can't tell everything about the case results, but I think this problem is completely solved. We can understand that setting up enroll without logging in works when the Authenticatication (What is this typo? 😉 ) checkbox is empty as shown below. Please correct this typo!

@SSDD I just reset the device and tried enroll again and didn't need login. The dashboard still cannot select the 'deprecated' option and has 'Managed:Use Meraki hosted accounts' enabled, but does not require login. Although the setting and behavior are not being the same, I think the code might have been changed at a level behind the Dashboard. I'll keep an eye on the results of the opened case.

@BlakeRichardson I also experienced this problem. This problem is because Meraki has deprecated the function to enroll without authentication at the time of enrollment after erase/reset of the mobile device. As above, the existing 'disable' setting has been deprecated. Due to this problem, login became necessary after erase/reset the device, I think this cannot be a true ZTP and security is an important issue. However, it must provide users with options to choose from. Currently, I have opened the case for this problem.

Sometimes I had an experience that was not connected to DEP. It will be fixed after some time, but for quick resolution, renewing DEP token with ABM/ASM will solve the problem immediately. https://documentation.meraki.com/SM/Device_Enrollment/Apple_Device_Enrollment_Program_(DEP) If token is renewed normally, there will be no effect on existing enrollment devices.

Apply newly created tags to iPad that disabling camera use. 4. Boom!
