AP's behavior for DNS

I would like to know how APs behave when they send a DNS query.

In the case that APs send a query to DNS and get response which means it is succeeded, how long does AP wait for the next query?
And also, in the case that APs send a query and it was failed, does AP keep sending a query every 15 sec?

Kind of a big deal

I just did a quick packet capture.

My impression is that positive queries are cached for the returned TTL perdiod from the DNS server.

My impression is that failed DNS queries are not cached at all.
