In the same vein, I wonder if there is a way to retrieve the email 'Your Méraki Order has shipped' on the Méraki website. In our situation, several orders were placed on CCW with an error in the email address and we are unable to retrieve the email from Meraki informing us of our cloud Dashboard license key number. Is there a simple way to retrieve them ? NOTE : We sent emails many to Cisco and Meraki support to change our wrong email adress directly on the open orders and each time, it failed. We now received a lot of material from Cisco but we are not able to get the licence key ordered with them. Thanks

Not sure. On a quick search I don't see any open bugs on it. Probably best to open a Support case so they can file one (if one doesn't already exist).

As far as I got you right: yes, that's completely possible. vMX and on prem MX would form an AutoVPN tunnel, whereas you'd configure RAVPN on your "regular" MX and send the remote access traffic through that tunnel.

I never came across that before, but agree it is not good and hopefully acknowledged by Cisco as a bug. I could easily have left it alone and figured it was on 17 not knowing better and then had that cause some issue later.

We are a 24/7 business that needs 100% connectivity uptime (or as close as you can get) so we run SD-WAN over mainly MPLS circuits, with a few direct internet ones. We added the SD-WAN layer for load balancing that doesn't drop traffic when one of the circuits goes down for maintenance. The MPLS has guaranteed latency between sites, whereas the internet connections do not.

Unless you are actively blocking those currently, which sounds unlikely baed on your question then you should not have to do anything except ensure anything upstream from your network is not blocking. Short answer: no need to do anything in most cases. Those who need to make changes would know how and where.

There’s no exact replacements, and the actual model numbers will vary depending on the Meraki access point you’re using. Assuming you are planning to use an MR46E then… AIR-ANT2524DW-R => MA-ANT-3-B6 Just as you concluded, the are dipoles with an articulated joint. AIR-ANT2566P4W-R => MA-ANT-3-E6 The Azimuth/Horizontal half power beam width is about half on the Meraki antenna compared with the Cisco one, so you may need some coverage re-work depending on the existing AP placement. It may be that the C6/D6 (Omni panel) models are a better replacement if the Cisco antennas are ceiling mounted radiating downward. AIR-ANT2566D4M-R => MA-ANT-3-E6 These will be pretty much the same. The F6 has a narrower beam width (about half that of the E6), so stay with the E6 for the closet match. AIR-ANT2535SDW-R => I think MA-ANT-3-A6 Spot on, these are non-articulated dipoles. Hope this helps.

You should be able to create an outbound firewall rule from the devices internal IP address to the public IP address you want to block, denying the traffic. This wont stop the traffic coming in, but I think it might block the return traffic (you need to test this to verify). Another method I haven't tried - but you could try creating a static route for the IP address you want to block and route it using the black hole method - to a local IP address on the LAN that does not exist. RPF should caused packets that come in from the Internet to be blocked.

In general, we were purchasing the MR42 from 2016 through 2018. I realize that some of these will be ten years old in 2026, but what bothers me is that the amount of time between the end-of-sales announcement and the end-of-support date is significantly less for the MR42 when compared to what it was for the MR34. For what it's worth, I was told on the phone by a Meraki rep as recently as late 2020 that nothing had been said (internally or externally) about the retiring of the MR42, but that conversation unfortunately ended up being not long before the MR42 end-of-sales announcement. One way or another, we'll deal with it, but I'm just a bit surprised by the timeline. The other piece of the puzzle for us is that these AP replacements are typically something that we like to do while our schools are out for summer, but the end-of-support date in July (versus October for the MR34) might make things a little tight...

We have this issue as well. MX450's acting as vpn concentrators in 1-armed mode running latest firmware. The issue is actually the 'frames per second' table maximum of 500k is reached when scanning through to the branch locations. When the FPS table is maxed it causes major performance degradation. There's no solution support has provided other than to add more MXs and split up our remote auto-vpns to multiple concentrators to try and limit the impact. We have about 150 branch locations.

@TheAlchemist you cannot stop any internet traffic hitting your MX from the WAN side unless you use a cloud/ISP proxy or firewall. Anyone in the world can try to send traffic to you. Is your public IP one you have had for a while, or a new one?

While yes they are potentially giving up a small amount of revenue as existing partners may gravitate to a slightly less expensive option. But what you miss is that this would open up additional revenue and scalable opportunities to be converted to Meraki who may not fully understand what it is. Additionally it would allow them to gain thousands of partners who don’t need the current higher tiers today that are with Ubiquiti, Engenius, Fortinet due to price. I was recently at a conference with over 200 MSPs and 95% of them are using Ubiquiti for majority of their clients solely due to the ability for to get more affordable hardware. Meraki Go is already trying to go after this market and from what I hear on forums and other places it’s falling drastically short simply because the dashboard is not up to par for an MSP to be able to manage multiple organizations as well as Meraki Enterprise.

SFTP is all tunneled over SSH, which removes the need for such NAT hacks. Past experience has dictated that any sort of NAT considerations for FTP aren't likely to be implemented given that FTP is a cleartext protocol that transmits usernames and passwords unprotected. As for the the firewall rules, "implicit" implies that it's an unspecified behavior, which is not the case. Yes, there's a default allow rule, but it's very much explicit.

We do have a mix of MR32/33 and MR45/55 in place. The building that we receive the most feedback is running only MR32/33, so if that's still an issue on those older devices, that would make sense. Our main building is a mix of MR45/55 with 1 MR32. I have not taken note whether users are having the same issues in the main building, but I'm looking into that today. Thinking through whether I upgrade to 29.4.1 or roll back to 26.6.1... Thanks for your feedback!

Has anyone come up with a good workaround for this issue, I know installing Bonjour Services on the device immediately fixes the issue, but our internal Security team is not in favor of installing unnecessary 3rd party software.

I just have a unique email for Go. If you happen to use Gmail you can put +anything on an email like, bob+merakigo@soluxion.com to be unique and still deliver to the same inbox. Other mail providers maybe have similar?
