At Cisco Live San Diego this month, we revealed an exciting update to our network automation strategy.
Cisco Workflows, the cloud-hosted automation application designed to simplify the management of both Cisco and third-party systems, will now be an embedded microservice of the Meraki platform.
For those not familiar, Cisco Workflows is a cloud-hosted SaaS application that provides users with the ability to build automation runs within and across the controllers they use to manage their networks.

What does this mean to you?
You’ll soon be able to leverage the power of cross-domain automation, with pre-built templates, a drag-and-drop designer, and support for a variety of different use cases; directly from the Meraki dashboard at no additional cost to you.
To understand how this comes to life for you, Workflows can be broken down into a few main components...
Workflow Exchange: A central library of downloadable templates for common automation scenarios, based on Cisco validated best practices.
Workspace: An overview of all active automation runs where you orchestrate commands, manage approvals, and gain a holistic overview of the network.
Workflow Editor: The drag-and-drop designer where automation comes to life.
Workflow Runs: A step-by-step progress tracker showing the entire process of workflow execution as it happens, including summaries and error tracking.
Why the change?
We're committed to making network automation as easy and accessible as possible. By embedding Cisco Workflows into the Meraki dashboard, we streamline the user experience and empower you to automate your network operations more efficiently.
