Workflows is now GA!
Following the announcement at Cisco Live this summer, we are thrilled to announce that Workflows is now generally available! If your account is hosted in the US, EU, or APJC data centers, you can access Workflows via the Automation menu within Meraki Dashboard starting today!
Workflows provides robust cross-domain automation capabilities to help you simplify your operational processes across Cisco and 3rd party applications through a centralized, drag-and-drop, low/no code experience. These automations can be manually executed within Dashboard, scheduled for the future, ran via external triggers (webhooks) and even run natively within the Cisco AI Assistant. This is more than just a feature release, it’s a leap forward in network automation, powered by sophisticated AI and accelerating the future of AgenticOps.
What is AgenticOps?
AgenticOps is Cisco’s vision for the future of IT operations: AI agents to autonomously reason, act, and optimize your network operations so you and your teams can focus on innovation, not repetitive tasks. Workflows is a key part of that vision as it enables automated changes across your network, working in conjunction with the Cisco AI Assistant and all under your control.
Why is this a game-changer? AI isn’t just an add-on - it’s woven into the networking platform and enables the automation of complex decision-making, troubleshooting, and orchestration across all your Cisco domains and beyond.
Out-of-the-box value with the Workflows Exchange
Along with the release of Workflows, Cisco is launching the Workflows Exchange. This ever-growing library of sample workflows allows you to easily find automations that meet your needs, and either run them as-is or use the simple drag-and-drop editor to tailor the workflow to match your specific needs. You can browse the Exchange, right within the Automation menu in the Meraki Dashboard, and get started today.
Workflows + AI Assistant = Effortless Ops
Any automation you create will be automatically surfaced (using our Model Context Protocol [MCP] server) and made available within the Cisco AI Assistant. When you ask for a change on your network, AI Assistant will identify available workflows and can execute them via natural language. Even if you don’t have an automation to match the request, the AI Assistant will search the Exchange and suggest workflows for you to explore and execute.
