We recently inherited a new customer's neglected network rack and were able to clean it up. We replaced a couple of old Brocade switches with a stacked pair of Meraki MS225 switches. We installed a new short depth APC Lithium Ion SmartUPS to power protect the equipment. We completed a total network and phone system overhaul for a chain of funeral homes in Oklahoma last year. We utilized all Meraki network equipment and Cisco Webex Calling for the phone system. Receiving the call about someone's passing (The Death Call) is of utmost importance to the business and the two main locations both have redundant internet connections to make sure the phone system stays online. Both locations have complete wireless network coverage and this also provides the gateway for some important MT sensors.   First location network cabinet Second location network cabinet   One unique requirement is that both locations each have a room where they keep the bodies and it has to be kept below 45 degrees Fahrenheit. I sold an SDWAN+ upgrade license (LIC-MX-SDW-XL-3Y) for an HA pair of MX250 firewalls to a customer and got the license key for it today. My Cisco Distributor had to create a new SKU for this license, so that means this is the first one of these that they have ever sold. I added the license to the customer Co-Term Org and I could see it in the list of licenses, but could not see a way to assign it to the correct network. Turns out you have to use the Insight Tab on the left of the dashboard and there was a button under the Configure column for Licensing. When you click on the Licensing button there is now an option to assign an SDWAN+ license to a network. That's definitely a first for me, but it did work.     Here's the link to the documentation on this. I had a customer ask me yesterday if the new MG52 is compatible with the AT&T FirstNet Public Safety network. This gave me the perfect opportunity to test out the MG52 that I got at Cisco Live earlier this month. I popped in the customer's activated FirstNet Sim card and the gateway quickly connected to the cellular network. I entered in their private APN that isolates their network traffic from other customers networks on FirstNet and that worked too.  So even though the MG52 is not FirstNet certified, which Cisco is working on, it still works just fine. Here's a couple of pictures of the MG52. This is one of the first ones made and I do not know if the additional MG52 and MG52E will also be green or white in color.
