MT for the dead

We completed a total network and phone system overhaul for a chain of funeral homes in Oklahoma last year. We utilized all Meraki network equipment and Cisco Webex Calling for the phone system.

Receiving the call about someone's passing (The Death Call) is of utmost importance to the business

and the two main locations both have redundant internet connections to make sure the phone system stays online. Both locations have complete wireless network coverage and this also provides the gateway for some important MT sensors.

One unique requirement is that both locations each have a room where they keep the bodies and it has to be kept below 45 degrees Fahrenheit. We installed an MT11 sensor with the bare metal probe in each of these rooms to alert the morticians if the cooling systems were not working correctly.
