The concern I'd have here is that you'd end up with two totally different APs;   a 2.4 GHz AP, on one side of the wall and a 5 GHz AP on the other.  If your client mix is OK with this, that's fine. I'm thinking maybe you planned on splitting the pigtails from, say, an MA-ANT-25 across the two radios?   On the face of it, that would give you one antenna for each radio, both inside and outside..?   That really should be avoided;  the recommended dual antenna chains connected to the same radio is what provides multiple spatial streams (for newer clients) and/or antenna diversity [to mitigate multi-path fade] (for older clients).  These rely on both antennas having the same coverage area and the radio assumes that, in its operation.  This is mentioned in the antenna installation guide. ... While I do work for Meraki, I have no specific answer to this, at this time - but I would take a look at the kind of performance available from the likes of MX67/68, within the MX Sizing Guide - and wonder whether you could actually gain anything from the extra bandwidth that WiFi6 might offer..?   If it were me, I'd be choosing my MX and my preferred MR access point separately.  This also allows you to put the AP in the best place for coverage, leaving your MX safely in a rack or similar - plus you could deploy more than one AP, to have a fully roaming WLAN, should you need to extend your coverage. ... Thanks Philip. I have not had a chance to try it yet but in looking at how I would do it, I expected to need to be able to configure it on an interface somehow. I even stopped by the Meraki zone at CLUS the other week and asked. I was told to assign it to an interface, even if that interface was not in use but I cannot use those IPs in NAT if I did it on a non-WAN interface. Yes - I've come across similar, with store numbers, in retail chains.   I'm never a fan of doing your IP addressing based upon anything like that.  IP addressing wasn't designed for it and you often end up 'standardising' on something that then ends up with anything > 254 being non-standard.  A standard that works only some of the time is worse than knowing you have no standard - and using an IPAM tool - IMHO. ... Hi Brenda - I just wanted to reinforce @PhilipDAth 's cautions;   BGP is only used to exchange routes in and out of Meraki AutoVPN (e.g. at a Data Centre) - you couldn't, for example, use it to peer with MPLS CPE routers, to push all your branch subnets into the MPLS cloud from each branch.   While we're on that subject, OSPF could also be used for the same use-case as BGP, but the exchange is one-way only (branch subnets into the DC).  OSPF has been available for ages, in Stable firmware.   Note too that, while it is indeed a Beta feature and you do have to call the Support team to enable it, I wouldn't myself describe BGP as closed, these days;  Support will happily enable it for you, once they've had a little look at your general setup and with appropriate cautions.  With the move of r14 firmware to Stable Release Candidate status, I would recommend that this version be used for any BGP setups.   Policy Routing relates only to traffic hitting MX WAN/Internet ports (it's part of the SD-WAN functionality).   You can't policy route traffic between different LAN ports. ...
