We have had to replace one MS225-48FP so far, although we have just deployed more which is a worry. My concern is if this is caused by bad design and they are aware if it if a switch fails in 4 years time will it be replaced. It appears all of our MS225-48 now operate with increased fan speeds.

@Jan from what I can see looking at the available settings for Android this is not possible on Meraki. Most of the MDM settings relate to iOS there are very few settings for Android.

Its not really a factory reset as you mentioned its obtaining digital ownership. I would contact Meraki support and see if they can at least provide the email address they were registered against. Even if when you do gain acces I would guess that if no one knows anything about them no licensing has been paid therefore you wont be able to do much in the dashboard until the licensing is renewed.

@Typhoon777 the CMNO course is for end users, you not selling Meraki gear shouldn't be a factor with trying to sit this course. I know priority for CMNO is given to people who are exisiting / new customers as opposed to people who are just interested. That being said I don't know why you would have been turned down. Meraki training is a bit of a sore point with a few people here.

I do suggest if you are screwing them into the ceiling tiles make sure you fix them into a piece of wood on the other side of the tile. I've seen lazy jobs where people haven't fixed them into wood and the AP has fallen off the ceiling!

As mentioned Meraki is a GUI based system, there is no CLI. I suggest you familarise your self with the Meraki Dashboard before you jump into swapping the equipment over just to be safe, You dont want to rush things if you dont havea good understanding of Meraki. Good luck!

Is the user getting any error messages i.e. are the splash pages trying to load and she is getting errors or are they not loading at all? Check her DNS, does she have any wierd DNS settings that don't match everyone elses? Does she have any persistant VPN software thats take over her connection?

@Melissa Thats good news, its a shame Apple hasn't come to the party. We had a user leave and not disable find my iphone on their iPhone so it was activation locked. We had to provide proof to purchase to a special team at Apple to get the lock removed. The whole process took over a week.

Yes they sure can. Just because they are SFP ports does not mean they have to be used as uplink ports. You would use one of these ports if you have a server with a fibre connection rather than a copper connection.
