Yup, we checked that its not for the 9300, it's for MS, and it was originally written for the 3750-x, either way the destination switch was the MS line, not the 9300. Look, from a business perspective, a transition tool helps Cisco move customers to Meraki faster and with more confidence. Home grown tools, apps, and scripts, leaves too much to interpretation and leaves the potential for Cisco to have bad customer experiences. All we need is a big enough client migration to fail, for word to get out, that the transition is not ready for prime time. Cisco should control the narrative, write a tool that provides us options so we as engineers can focus not on the moving of ports, but the integration of the new solution.

I have a pair of MX68 in HA mode with two WAN connections to ISP routers with each router with a dedicated /28 public subnets. VRRP address configured on the MX68. We a have a MR44 connected to port 11. If WAN 1 is disconnected traffic doesn't failover to WAN 2. The WAP goes offline. The WAP is using the VRRP address as its public ip address. A packet capture shows any traffic with source of the VRRP failing. When I change the setting to use physical IP address. The WAP comes online. Traffic fails over to WAN 2 with no issue. Is is this normal behaviour or are firewall rules needed to use the VRRP address?

Interesting; looks like Cisco 8000 Series Secure Routers will only be supported under the newer Subscription model not Legacy Co-term License Model. Another good reason to get customers moved over to Subscription. Subscription Sidenote: I wish Cisco would hurry up and introduce a "Click to Convert to Subscription" option similar to what we could do previously with conversion from Co-Term to Per-Device License Model, so we don't have to wait for the network to be expired or be in grace-period to be able to convert by way of claiming the Subscription Key. I'm sick of having to buy Legacy Co-Term every time the customer adds new hardware to their Organization thereby pushing their Co-Term date (and their ability to convert to Subscription) out further and further.

There are no "per API call" specific limits. The limits apply to the API as a whole. All of the limits are documented in the link I provided.

Sorry - silly question. The BLOCK Policy on a (Wireless) connected device within the Meraki Dashboard, does this actually block them from connecting to 1 x network, or all wireless networks? We're trying to sift out unwanted Mobile devices from a school network after a password compromise. Otherwise a Password change would affect 8000 devices in over 80 sites.

I would say thats to high considering your doing it for a friend, based on the scope it looks like you are setting up a simple home network. Have you spoken to the client/friend about what their budget is?

I contacted Meraki support (thanks for the suggestion) who were very helpful, and shared that I had an alternative Administrator set up without 2FA. I now have access to my Dashboard (phew!!)

Yes there are fw rules, but none that drop routes learned from other hubs, if that is what you are referring to. Tks

Really? I have never seen it on any of my Orgs when adding MR, I just double checked as I added one within the last month and there is no recently added tag.

hehe I ended up opening a case last week with TAC to ask the question. After finally getting the engineer to understand what I was talking about, he went back to his peers to discuss. They ended up updating the documentation to clarify only the default VRF can be used for dashboard management traffic. https://documentation.meraki.com/MS/Layer_3_Switching/VRF#:~:text=This%20feature%20is%20supported%20in%20IOS%20XE%2017.18.1%20and%20later%20on%20MS390%20and%20Cloud%20Managed%20Catalyst%20switches.

Hi, I am having the similar situation where currently we have our L3 HP switch M3810 which we need to migrate to stack of 4 MS225 switches. Our current HP switch has all the routing done in it and i need to replicate same to Meraki. Apart from creating vlan interfaces and static routes, I’m not sure what else i need to take into consideration. Can you help in things that i need to check before migrating this

It is co-termination so from what was stated here the licenses started when the order was shipped. I assume I might as well add the AP's by the order number as it looks to be the best or quickest way. We had a heat map done by the company before we ordered the switches and AP's but I want to do it myself and get all the equipment named and into my inventory.

It is only supported with external Radius, without Radius it is mandatory to be in bridge mode.

Try the test of leaving the UPS unplugged so it is only running on batteries. This may have nothing to do with the waveform. As I suggested, I would bet money on it being a power factor issue ahead of a sine wave issue.

The documentation now lists MS 18 as the minimum required firmware. Has anyone installed this Beta version and tested yet?
