Powerful Security
- Adaptive Policy extends to MS130X and MS130R models. Powered by Cisco TrustSec Security Group Tags (SGT) technology, Adaptive Policy dynamically identifies and enforces security policies for users, devices, and applications with network-based micro-segmentation. With the extended Adaptive Policy support to MS130 mGig, MS130R, and Catalyst 9300-M, you can protect your network with consistent policy across different environments.

- Please note, Adaptive Policy is a GA feature on Catalyst 9300-M and MS390 today. However, Adaptive Policy on MS130X/R will remain on early access page until MS17 reaches release candidate (RC) stage and will require an advanced license.

Enhanced Tooling and Visibility
- RSPAN & VLAN Based SPAN: this feature enhances the current Traffic Mirroring feature by making it more robust and scalable when spanning a session from one switch to another for analyzing port traffic. It provides the ability to utilize VLAN and a physical port as a source and destination when configuring RSPAN sessions between switches along with VLAN filters. Review the documentation for details.
- Digital Optical Monitoring (DOM): enables monitoring of real-time parameters of the Meraki transceiver (SFP) such as optical power (input or output), temperature, current, and voltage. When these parameters exceed the set threshold of the transceiver, users are notified via the dashboard. This is useful for troubleshooting past and present events and detecting potential network failures to prevent network breakdowns. Refer to documentation for details.
