We're feeding into our deployment standard now not to use the 'convert portX LAN to WAN' as a switchport / uplink for switch unless absolutely necessary, and running the step to convert port X from LAN to WAN at the sites initial install, even if there is no requirement for secondary WAN connectivity initially, so as if the requirement does arise in the future we can do it with 0 downtime.

No problem at all @van604 ... It is fairly new feature and sometimes I forget it is there. But when I do remember, it saves me a lot of time, going through pcaps & logs.

apparently got some info through a friend of a friend that it's in the works as @Arthamon posted, but the street news said that it's not a well defined as the third party solution. will wait in anticipation for the new and improvements.

So, with your recommendation do those users not tend to move around utilize one specific PC all the time? How do you compensate a user moving around with Group Policies that have to be applied at a VLAN or Client level and not able to restrict specifically by the user?
