Hi, I have also a question about stack a Meraki 425. At the moment we have 2x meraki 425 seperately as distribution switches but not in stack. I want to make this network redundant without blocked STP by stacking these 2 switch into 1 stack. Unfortunately is the 425 model a little bit special and does not have a hardcoded stackport but a flexible interface you need to config to become a stack. I don't have any spares to test and my questions is: does anyone know if stack settings remain hardcoded for MS425 after the stack config push, without first having to retrieve the config from the cloud? The intention is for CS1 to remain active, and CS2 will be added to it, forming a single stack, provided the stack config on CS2 remains hardcoded and doesn't require an uplink first. We do have a mix of MR32/33 and MR45/55 in place. The building that we receive the most feedback is running only MR32/33, so if that's still an issue on those older devices, that would make sense. Our main building is a mix of MR45/55 with 1 MR32. I have not taken note whether users are having the same issues in the main building, but I'm looking into that today. I agree.  If we had required faster uplinks, we would have replaced the Meraki's with another firewall.  Fortunately we don't need the extra bandwidth, so it doesn't matter for our use case.  But the companies that make their own chips are able to offload some CPU intensive things to ASIC chips.  That is the way that all manufacturers should be headed and hopefully Cisco will instead of trying to cram everything into an intel system on a chip.  Hardware $ for $ Meraki is far from competitive.  But the software is what makes us stick around.  Too bad the software stack can't run on another large brand's hardware, then we could FortiMeraki or MerakiGate.... the last RMA we did on an MS390 that was DOA (would not power up after a beta firmware install for ETA /Stealthwatch) took 5 total days to receive that shipped by FedEX Overnight - that was a call on Friday night to support then shipped out to us on Tuesday...  our Sales Rep told us if you buy "Meraki Now" they allocate a specific number of that Hardware Model for RMA to that program vs Warranty RMA..  meaning if an item like MR56 is backordered for Warranty replacement - there is inventory for Meraki Now customers...  (we were looking at 8x5:NBD HW only)  this was only verbal - never saw it in writing  ... I am currently trialling using the Syslog option.     It is very frustrating that the information is all easily available and on view in the dashboard, for both Meraki and 3rd party VPNs.  Yes you can configure it to send an email if a Meraki VPN goes down, but nothing for 3rd party VPNs, even crucial ones like Azure 😉   But when it come to monitoring the these vital stats with basic tooling used across the industry, the information is not attainable for the simple minded.   Meraki has made corporate networking SO MUCH easier to manage, in SO MANY ways.  Monitoring is not one of them. ...
