Bumping an old thread, I am surprised to see this information is still not exposed in the dashboard. Had a power event at one of our sites and was trying to verify if the Meraki equipment power cycled. Not exposed in the dashboard, had to call support for them to verify device uptime. Can anyone from the Meraki side request getting this added. Plenty of wishes made for an otherwise easy feature to deploy.

What are you trying to accomplish? In most setups the same LAN shares the two WANs load balanced. You can set an internet preference if something LAN side needs to stick to a certain LAN interface.

I've run speedtests at sites MX64 and 1G burstable circuits and had the 250M limit.

I only have MX64 and MX65 networks so I'm not sure. The number I provided is based off of this (see page 3) https://meraki.cisco.com/lib/pdf/meraki_whitepaper_mx_sizing_guide.pdf Which is pretty accurate. You may get a little more bandwidth if you have certain stuff turned off.

I plugged it directly into the MX but that port was setup on the same vlan as the wireless. Worked as intended, no issues.

MX67 only supports max throughput of 300M with all security enabled. The first device that can support 1G internet is the MX250 which is way to expensive for a small site. This is still painful for me to size at sites that have large pipes available with a minimal number of users.

@jdsilva, the circle makes it very easy for the average home user to manage dynamic policies. If you take a pass through this https://cdn.meetcircle.com/support-files/User+Manual+-+Circle.pdf you can do some unique stuff like: setting time limits, bed time, off time, rewards etc. Look at pg 55 forward.

I'll be testing it in the near future so I'll report the results. I like the idea/ability of the Disney Circle to make managing access time easy. But strange implementation.

Has anyone configured a Disney Circle device to work with an MX? I guess the device uses ARP Spoofing/Poisoning re: https://support.meetcircle.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001381932-How-Does-Circle-Work- and Meraki's don't appear to be supported per https://support.meetcircle.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001381571-Router-Compatibility-and-Circle I don't have the Disney Circle on hand yet to test but here are some of the thoughts I had: Is there a way to have the MX DHCP assign the Disney Circle IP as the default gateway to avoid the need for spoofing/poisoning? Is there a setting on the MX that internally blocks ARP Spoofing/Poisoning?

Interesting, didn't see anything directly related in the 25.13 firmware notes. The closest thing I see is this Fixed an issue where the BLE radio would stop beaconing and scanning (MR30H/MR33/MR74)

I got a new job in a non Meraki environment so I probably won't be here as much as I usually am. I still do consulting on the side and I primarily recommend Meraki equipment so I won't be a complete stranger. This community has been a great resource and I hope to checkin from time to time. On to new challenges and bigger projects.

Your best bet for this type of config is to setup the switch port going to the router as access vlan X. Use a VLAN you don't use for other stuff. Then setup the port going to the MX as access with that same VLAN you used above. Then you should be good.

Also it looks like that SFP is designed for multi mode fiber. Are you sure that is what is running between your MDF and IDF? Is it possibly single mode?

You could try 1:1 NAT a phone to basically eliminate the MX as a variable and see if it makes a difference.

I have multiple clients using MX devices, with Vonage, without issues. I'm pretty sure the MX60 is an old model device so sounds like the support reps knowledge is out of date. You may want to try to call them back and talk to someone that is having a better day.

When relying on meshing I got the 5G directional antennas for my AP's and pointed them toward each other so they have a stronger mesh.

Thanks that helps. So it looks like your static IPv4 is VLAN 10 and that IPv6 is getting DHCP from VLAN 2? Do you happen to have a topology you can share? Conceptually the trunk port on the switch should have a native VLAN set and then allowed VLANs. As long as the native VLAN isn't 2 you should be fine. Maybe make the native 10 and just have 2 in the allowed? Sorry trying to help the best I can here with limited visibility.

@CotyMick I saw those but it looked like a metal box. But now that I read the spec it says they are plastic and don't impede the signal so may be fine. Would be interesting to test.

Agreed I usually go the iproute method but you may want to test routing something small first before the default route.
