I am looking at potentially moving to MV cameras, we currently us a mixture of Axis and Hikvision cameras attached to an NVR, we have about 43 cameras and plan on adding more as we are a large site and many buildings and have a few blackspots. My question is how much bandwidth does "cloud archive" require per camera. I am assuming that the footage upaloded is heavily compressed. Thanks The gnomes' hidden egg has been found!

I have just synced mine however we only have App's and no users listed in our ASM. It synced nice and quick.

No, user settings need to be manually set on the device.

Hmm, with the 4G fallover can you ping anything on the outside world or does nothing work at all. Just trying to rule out a DNS issue.

Ok so with the port set as a trunk port do you have the native VLAN set to what your admin VLAN and you have the client VLAN tagged as well? For example Administration = VLAN 10 Clients = VLAN 20 switch port would be Untagged VLAN10 and Tagged with VLAN 20

Your WAN2 is setup to use DHCP so your router changing to 4G wont cuase a problem, as mentioned you 4G connection probably isn't working Is the 4G connection Prepaid or on a plan, if so id confirm it acutally works / the bill is still being paid.

@nst1 How many VLANS will the AP be dealing with? if its only one there is no need to have the AP's switch port setup as a trunk port.

Is it true that firmware updates of all types of devices can only be delayed a certain amount of time but not suppressed totally? I have an MX running 13.33 because it has issues with the ISP and drops its connection every 20 mins if I upgrade the firmware.

I used coloured cables for different networks i.e. Security, VOIP, Wireless, printers, servers etc. We have a strict policy use the right colour cable and if we dont have one in the right size use a beige cable it and label the cable until the right size cables arrives.

@PhilipDAth Yes I deal with one of our suppliers but my contact there and I liase with the Meraki client manager in regard to orders, stock levels and promos etc.

@Kevin_C Thanks for letting us know. I do have a quick question, does the agent automitcally update itself once installed? Is it possible to support to post information about updates to such things in the forums. I dont know about everyone else but I get the impression that support isn't sharing as much information as users would like. Here is a link to a game developers update page, Meraki support could do something similar so that people who are following a particular issue or feature can see whats happening with it, it also creates transparency. https://rust.facepunch.com/changes/

I have found many of the features that require the agent to be installed no longer work for me. I have spent thousands on Meraki SM licenses and dont seem to be getting any support with this. Either Meraki needs to commit and fix the issues with the Mac agent or drop it and refund all of the customers that use it for looking after their Macs. I am at the point of having discussions with our local supplier for JAMF.

I'm surprised you were able to join those clients to the AD server if they were using external DNS..... As mentioned use internal DNS if they are AD joined, if not external DNS might be faster.

Sounds like a bad unit, it would be interesting to see if the unit still faults without anything apart from power plugged into it. I suspect a bad component is causing power issues.
